Tournament Summary

Format: 36 Hole Championship with two age divisions. Practice round included on the 12th.  

Eligibility: Must be (1) a male who has not reached their 19th birthday on or before June 14, 2023. (2) a WHS Handicap Index of 7.4 or less (3) a resident of the State of Ohio or in the case of a minor, his parent/legal guardian must be a resident.

Fee: $240 Member fee. $300 Non-member fee.

Format

  • Two Divisions, both to be played at the same yardage, approx. 6,600 yards
    • Ages 16-18 field is 108 players
    • Ages 15 & under field is 36 players
  • 36 Hole Stroke Play Championship
  • Round 1 (18 holes) – Tuesday, June, 13
  • Round 2 (18 holes) – Wednesday. June, 14
  • Awards to Top 10 overall and Top 5 in 15 & under

 

Eligibility

  • Must be a male who has not reached their 19th birthday on or before June 14, 2023
  • Must have an active WHS handicap index of 7.4 or less
  • A resident of the State of Ohio or in the case of a minor, his parent/legal guardian must be a resident
  • In order to pay the member fee, entrant must have an active WHS Handicap Index at an OGA member club
  • A resident is defined as meeting four (4) of the nine (9). 1. Ownership or leasing of Ohio residence 2. Proof of payment of utilities at property for which residency is being claimed 3.Ohio homestead exemption declared on residence 4. Place of employment in Ohio 5.Ohio Driver’s License 6.Ohio Vehicle registration 7. Ohio address listed on federal income tax return filed by player 8. Has a WHS handicap at a golf club in Ohio. 9. Voter registration in Ohio

Fee

  • $240 Member fee. $300 Non-member fee.
  • Practice round, range use, and lunches included
  • No refunds after the deadline unless submitted with a medical excuse
  • All refunds are subject to a $15 service fee

Registration

  • Players must register at Miami Valley GC on the date of the practice round, June 12th
  • A player may call or email the OGA to pre-register, if he is unable to get to Miami Valley GC on Monday. If a player fails to register, his spot may be given to an alternate

Caddies

  • A player may not have a caddie during the practice round or any tournament round

 

 

Parents

  • Parents must remain a reasonable distance from play, at least 50 yards. Parents are not allowed on any teeing area or putting green during practice or tournament rounds. After the first warning, the player will be disqualified

Shoes

  • Players may not wear the following shoes:
  • Traditional spikes—that is, spikes having single or multiple points designed to penetrate deeply into the surface of the ground (regardless of whether made of metal, ceramic, plastic or other materials
  • Spikes of any design that are entirely or partially made of metal, if such metal may come in contact with the course penalty for breach of this Local Rules: See Rule 4.3. Modern Local Rule G-7

Transportation

  • During a round, a player must not ride on any form of motorized transportation except as authorized or later approved by the Committee. See Modern Local Rule G-6 for additional information and Penalty.
