Sunday, July 3oth

  • Round 1 of pod play (8:00 - 10:30 a.m.)
  • Round 2 of pod play (1:30 - 4:00 p.m.)

 

Monday, July 31st 

  •  Final round of pod play (8:00 - 10:30 a.m.)
  • Playoffs, if needed (12:30 p.m.)

 

Tuesday, August 1st

  • Round of 16 (8:00 - 9:03 a.m.)
  • Quarterfinals (1:00 - 1:30 p.m.)

 

Wednesday, August 2nd

  • Semifinals  (8:00 - 8:15 a.m.)
  • Championship Match (1:00 p.m.)

 

 

PRACTICE ROUND

One practice round per player. Please call Old Toccoa Farm as soon as possible to reserve your practice round starting time between July 21-29.  Practice round cart and range fee must be paid directly to Old Toccoa Farm on the date the practice round is played.

Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition.

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE

The golf shop and driving range will open at 7:00 a.m. on each day of the competition.

POD PLAY

All players in the group will play a match versus each other player in their group in rounds one through three of the Championship

 

The winner of each match will receive one (1) point

Tied matches result in each player receiving a (0.5) half point

 

The player with the most points after three rounds will advance to the round of 16 from the group

 

In the event of a two way tie in the group after three rounds, the tiebreaker will be the result of the head to head match.

 

A three way tie, will have a sudden death stroke play play-off to see who will advance.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for the first round of pod play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at the club at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 29.

 

The starting times will range from 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

REGISTRATION & POD PREVIEW PARTY

There is no formal registration for this event. Player gifts will be distributed between Round 1 and Round 2 on Sunday.

 

There will be a pod preview party from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m in the clubhouse. There will be food and drinks for all players. 

CARTS

Practice round cart and range fees are included in the entry fee. Tournament round cart and range fees are also included in the championship fee. 

 

Players will share carts during the first two rounds of pod play and will be in individual carts beginning in the Round of 16.

 

RULES OF PLAY/PACE OF PLAY/CART POLICY

The GSGA Rules of Play, Pace of Play and Spectator Cart Policy shall be in effect. Click here to view policies.

CADDIES
Caddies are allowed for the Championship. Caddies will not be provided extra carts and may need to walk. We will try to have some areas on the course where the player and caddie can ride together  from the green to the next tee or have a shuttle available.

FOOD SERVICE

Food service will be available in the golf shop and at the turn throughout the championship. 

 

Lunch will be provided for all players throughout the Championship.

 

The restaurant will be open to players and guests on Saturday and Monday nights, but players must make a reservation.

WITHDRAWS IN POD PLAY

If a player withdraws under any circumstances without completing all three matches, in equity to the group, all points will be forfeited by the withdrawn player. 

 

Additionally, players who withdraw without completing all three matches in pool play and without valid reason will be subject to a $150 penalty payable to the GSGA Foundation before their entry will be accepted into any future GSGA Championship.

 

Once the seeds are set, any alternates will assume the seed of the player they are replacing.

 

REFUND POLICY

Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless your spot can be filled from the alternate list. A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA. Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling Richard Adams at 678-324-5974 or via email, radams@gsga.org.
