The 2023 BTM LAWYERS CHAMPIONSHIP is an 18-Hole stroke play championship hosted at Pitt Meadows Golf Club. The event is open for Male & Female Amateur Golfers in Flights 1-3 with handicap index of 5.1 to 26.0.
This event is a counting event for official points on the 2023 SRIXON/CLEVELAND ORDER of MERIT where $10,000 in Amateur year-end prizing will be awarded at the Tour Championship!

All players must create a Player Profile in Golf Genius to play the 2023 VGT Season.

Priority Registration for Members – until May 17th at midnight.
VGT Members have priority registration over non-members until May 17th at midnight PST. Non-Members are asked to register as early as possible to establish priority waitlist status. Their registration will show as pending and if the event is not full as of May 17th at midnight, will be non-members will be admitted in order of the date their registration (with payment) was received.

Eligibility:
This event is open to Male & Female Amateur Golfers with official hcp. Index of 5.1 to 26.0.
TOURNAMENT ENTRY INCLUDES:
- 18 holes of tournament golf at Pitt Meadows Golf Club ($89)
- Tee-gift for all Amateurs ($30)
- $20 Food Voucher
- $40/PLAYER allocated to prizing
- Driving range warm-up
- Gross & Net Prizing awarded within each handicap flight.
- Awards presented to Gross Champions in each division
- Opportunity to win valuable points for the 2023 SRIXON / CLEVELAND ORDER OF MERIT (over $10,000 in year-end awards & prizing)
- Live Leaderboard scoring and Golf Canada Officiating
- Professional Announcing on first tee

Prize Payouts:
Players will be entered into the appropriate division based on their current handicap index at or around the registration deadline, and prizing will be based on alternating gross & net scores.
The top 25% of each division will make the prize table.
Projected Handicap Flights are broken down as follows:
Flight 1: Hcp index of 5.1 to 10.0 (Men & Women combined)
Flight 2: Hcp factor of 10.1 to 16.0 (Men & Women combined)
Flight 3: Hcp index of 16.1 to 26.0 (Men & Women combined)
*NOTE: There must be a minimum of five players registered in each flight for there to be a separate division. If there are less than 5 female players in any of the three flights, female golfers will play against players from their own handicap flight. In these cases, women will be provided with an equitable yardage to play against their handicap peers.
ENTRY FEES:
VGT Member: $175+GST = $183.75
Non-member: $225+GST = $236.25
NET SKINS GAME: $20/player (optional)
To play, please add $20 skins payment when registering)
The Net Skins Game will be for all 3 divisions (combined). If you enter the skins game, this also qualifies you for the $5,000 Hole-in-one jackpots on course that day!

Women’s Flight 1,2 & 3: 5,200 yards

Order of Merit (OOM) points will be awarded in each handicap division.
The Amateur OOM will be based on the following point system for a full field. Order of Merit Points may be modified in any given event based on relative field size:

PROGRESSIVE HOLE-IN-ONE JACKPOT
(CURRENT JACKPOT = 3 x $5,000 HOLE-IN-ONE PRIZES – as of April 20, 2023)
JACKPOT RULES:
- In order to qualify for the Hole-in-one (H.I.O) JACKPOT offered at a VGT event, a player must be entered into the $20 skins game/hole-in-one pot for that event. If there is no winner of the hole-in-one at VGT event, the current hole-in-one pot will carry over to the next event until we have a winner of the jackpot. If by the end of the Winter Tour the jackpot has not been won, the current jackpot will be carried over into the Summer Tour schedule commencing on March 30th, 2023
- If the jackpot accumulates to $5,000, it will be cut-off at $5,000 and the first eligible person (see above) to score a hole-in-one on an eligible jackpot hole will receive the $5,000 payout. A secondary Hole-in-one purse will be started as soon as the original jackpot reaches $5,000. From the time the original purse reaches $5,000, moneys collected for the H.I.O purse will accumulate in this secondary pot while the first pot remains at $5,000. The secondary pot will continue to grow until the next eligible player scores a hole-in-one on the designated jackpot hole at a VGT event. The maximum H.I.O purse paid out at any time will be $5,000, and once the pot has reached $5,000, a 3rd and 4th purse (and so on) will be established for future winners.
- Due to the skill difference of Pros versus the Amateurs in the field, we level the playing field for the JACKPOT two ways:
- By allowing the Flight 1,2 and 3 amateurs to tee-off a shorter designated tee-box at various times compared to Professionals and Championship Amateurs.
- VGT hosts numerous Amateur only events where Amateurs have a chance to win the JACKPOT without Pros in the field.
