CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION

POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:
Prior to participating, participants must review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures.
FORMAT:
- All players will compete in an 18-hole, net stroke-play championship.
- The championship field will be divided evenly into flights based on each player’s Handicap Index as of November 20.
Flight Breakdown:
GC at Terra Lago (North Course):
- Arroyo Flight: Participants with Handicap Indexes of 7.4 and below.
- Mission Flight: Participants with Handicap Indexes of 7.5 – 9.6.
- During the championship, players will use their Handicap Index (as of November 20) and will receive 95% of their Course Handicap (unless otherwise noted by the SCGA).
- Awards will be given to those who finish in 1st through 5th place in each flight.
- All ties at the championship will be broken using the USGA suggested method of matching scorecards (Committee Procedures: Section 5A (6)).
REGISTRATION:
All players must check in at the SCGA registration table located inside the golf shop. Registration will begin by 6:15 a.m.
STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:
- Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week in advance of the championship.
- The championship will be a split-tee start from 7:30 a.m. to approx. 9:30 a.m. off Tees 1 & 10.
- Players are encouraged to arrive at the facility well in advance of their tee time to register, warm up, and get situated in their golf carts.
TEES & YARDAGES:
All yardages for men and women may be viewed in the Event Portal by clicking HERE.
PRACTICE ROUNDS:
- Players may plan for practice rounds at a rate of $85 (including cart and range balls).
- Call the golf shop within two days in advance of desired round at (760) 775-2000 and identify yourself as a participant in the SCGA Tournament of Club Champions.
DRIVING RANGE:
- The driving range will be available by 6:30 a.m. the morning of the championship.
- Range balls will be provided compliments of GC at Terra Lago and the SCGA.
FOOD SERVICE & PURCHASES:
- Participants will receive a food voucher that may be used at The Grill located near the golf shop at the conclusion of their round.
- The Grill will be open beginning at 7 a.m.
- Cash and major credit cards will be accepted for all purchases.
RULES OF PLAY:
- The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and The R&A govern play.
- Local Rules and Terms of the Competition can be found on the SCGA Hard Card and the Notice to Players.

GOLF CARTS & PULL/PUSH CARTS:
- Golf carts are included with the entry fee; however, players who are able and willing to walk may do so.
- There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart. Players wishing to ride will be expected to share a cart with another player.
- Each player is entitled to one seat in a cart. If a player brings a caddie, the caddie may ride provided there is a vacant seat in one of the carts. Otherwise, either the player or the caddie must walk.
- Drivers must be at least 16 years of age (or older if club policy dictates).
- Pull or push carts are permitted.
CADDIES & SPECTATORS:
- Players may provide their own caddie (see section on golf carts).
- Spectators are permitted but are not allowed in carts. Spectators must adhere to all policies set forth by the facility.
DRESS CODE:
Appropriate golf attire must be worn, including adhering to any facility-specific policies.
CANCELATIONS & REFUNDS:
- To withdraw for any reason prior to the start of a SCGA competition, a player must notify the SCGA Championships & Golf Operations Department at champs@scga.org.
- Failure to notify the SCGA will subject the player to suspension from future SCGA competitions.
- Refund Policy:
- Cancelation prior to the entry closing date: Full refund less a $20 administrative fee.
- Cancelation after the entry closing date and more than 48 hours prior to the start of the competition: 50% of the entry fee.
- Cancelation within 48 hours of the start of the competition: No refund.
