2023 U.S. Senior Open Qualifying - Vesper CC

VESPER COUNTRY CLUB

 

 

Practice Rounds: Players may arrange a practice round by contacting the golf shop and identifying themselves as a competitor in the field. Practice rounds will be offered based on club availability within the timeframes listed below. 

 

Availability:

  • Monday 5/15 & 5/22 after 12:00pm
  • Wednesday 5/10, Thursday 5/11, Wednesday 5/17, Thursday 5/18 & Wednesday 5/24 at Head Professional’s discretion
  • YOU MUST CALL the golf shop at 978-459-3070 and introduce yourself as a competitor in the field. No walk-up times will be available.

Notes:

  • There will be a mandatory cart/trail fee of $35 (cash or credit).
  • Competitors will be limited to one practice round and may be paired up with other US Senior Open competitors.
  • Only one ball may be played per competitor during their practice round.
  • Practice rounds are for players only – no guests or caddies allowed

 

Starting Times:  Play will begin at 8:30am off the 1st tee. Pairings & Starting Times will be available after the close of entries and can be accessed by clicking the "Starting Times & Parings" tab above. There will be no registration on the day of the event, please report to your scheduled starting tee to receive local rules, hole locations, scorecard, etc. at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Withdrawals:  To withdraw from a qualifier, please login to the USGA Portal and click WITHDRAW and select the Championship and Reason for withdrawing. If applicable, any refund will be processed within 5-7 business days. Once submitted, all withdrawals are final. If you need to withdraw within 48 hours of the qualifier, please also e-mail Steve Yatrousis at syatrousis@massgolf.org. 

 

Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 2 Qualifying Spot(s) and 2 Alternate Spots. Qualifying players will advance to the 43rd U.S. Senior Open Championship at SentryWorld (Stevens Point, WI).  

 

Distance Devices:  The use of distance measuring devices is permitted.

 

Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation will NOT be permitted during the player's round. Pull/push carts will be permitted.

 

Caddies & Push Carts: Players are permitted to employ a caddy and/or use a push cart. Club caddies are not available through the Vesper CC Pro Shop. 

 

Competition Tees/ Yardage: Competition Tees & Yardage are approximate and subject to change. Play will be approximately from the Black/Blue Tee yardage - 6,600 yards (Par 72). 

 

Golf Shop, Locker Room and Practice Facilities: The practice facilities will be open and available at 7:30am. 

 

Food & Beverage: Lunch will be available for purchase in the Vesper CC clubhouse (Cash or Credit). 

 

Dress Code:  Please observe the USGA dress code as stated in the application. 

 

*Please also review the 2023 USGA Hard Card and other policies located under the tab labeled "USGA Policies" prior to competition.

 

*There will be no registration on the day of the event - please report to your scheduled starting hole to receive local rules, scorecard, etc. 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
