ELIGIBILITY:

Open to HSJGA Members 12 and Under in good standing, should have a current GHIN Handicap Index and passed the HSJGA Rules Quiz (available at www.HSJGA.org)

The following are the GHIN indexes and /or scores for each age division a junior should be capable of recording for 18Holes in order to enter this tournament.

The top twenty (20) 7-10 Boys, 11-12 Girls, 11-12 Boys and the top fifteen (15)7-10 Girls from the previous year’s point list WILL NOT be required to submit scoring verification.  You may have moved up into another division since last year’s point standings.  If you are entered up into the 13-14 or 15-18Age Divisions you must meet GHIN Handicap requirements as set in the current HSJGA Handbook.

WITHDRAWALS / REFUNDS:  

Withdrawals: Juniors must withdraw from a tournament online using their HSJGA member account. Notification to the HSJGA office by email or phone (808) 635-4642 of a player’s intention to withdraw from an event are final.  A player may,however, submit another application for that tournament if the entry deadline has not passed. Withdrawal from any event will not affect future tournament play. Failure to withdraw will be considered a "No-Show." (See"No-Shows") in the current Membership Handbook.

 

Refunds / Incomplete Transactions: The membership fee is non-refundable. Players who withdraw before an event’s entry deadline will have their entry fee returned minus $10.00 for handling. If a player withdraws after the entry deadline and five (5) or more working days before the tournament, he/she will be refunded 50% of the entry fee. There will be no refunds for players who withdraw less than five (5) working days (Monday through Friday) before a tournament (except for emergencies; these claims willbe reviewed by the HSJGA’s Executive Committee). If a tournament is cancelled due to inclement weather, the junior will be refunded all but $10.00 of his/her entry fee for handling. All online transactions that are returned due to insufficient funds or incomplete information will be charged a $10.00processing fee. Entry into an event will not be accepted until all additional fees are paid.

PRACTICE ROUND INFORMATION:  Tee

Please call the golf course directly at (808) 944-4567 and identify yourself as an HSJGA participant to make a tee time between June 4 and June 11 and for more information regarding the $26.00 green fee (walking)

 

Drivers must have valid driver's license to operate a cart during a practice round. Please note the HSJGA Policy for Practice Rounds in the current HSJGA Handbook: 

 

During practice rounds for any HSJGA tournament, juniors may play one ball only and may not practice chipping or putting when there are players waiting. Violations of this policy will result in the following penalty.

 

Penalty: 1st Infraction:Warning

 2nd Infraction: 100-point deduction for any subsequent infraction.

 3rd Infraction: Disqualification from the tournament.  

 

DRIVING RANGE HOURS:

 

Day 1 - 6:30 AM – to 6:00 PM

Day 2 - 6:30 AM – to 6:00 PM

Practice Round:   $6/small bucket

Tournament Days:  $3/small bucket

 

POINTS:

The King Auto Group State Junior Championship is a MAJOR and will be awarded based on the 600-point system.  Points will be awarded in the junior’s designated HSJGA age division.  The points for this tournament count for year end “Player of the Year.”

Notes will be collected at registration prior to round two (2). If a junior should forget their thank you notes, HSJGA thank you cards are available for purchase at registration for a fee of $1.00 per card.  

FOOD AND BEVERAGES:

Lunch will be provided for Round Two(2).  On course snacks and water will be provided for players and volunteers ONLY. Lunch will be provided for players and non-parent volunteers during or after round two (2).  

 

HSJGA DRESS CODE:

Proper attire is required at all times at all HSJGA tournaments, practice rounds, events and/or functions. For more information, see current HSJGA Handbook. The HSJGA Dress Code applies to all spectators as well. Please refer to the current HSJGA handbook.
