ENTRY FEE: $300 PER TEAM (ONLY ONE PERSON FROM EACH TEAM NEEDS TO REGISTER AND PAY)

REFUND POLICYEntry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if LGA office is notified, in writing, before the close of entries. After the close of entries, fee will be refunded only in the event of injury or illness provided notification (accompanied by a doctor’s statement) reaches LGA office by February 23, 2024 A $60 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

Eligibility:  Entries are open to any junior who is an amateur golfer (as defined by the USGA) and is an active member of the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour. Entrants must be 11 years of age by midnight, February 24, 2024, and cannot have reached their 19th birthday by midnight, February 25, 2024. Non-amateurs are not eligible. Entries are subject to rejection at any time (including during the championship) by the LGA. Reasons for rejection may include unbecoming conduct. 

Field/Format of PlayLimited to 50 team entries. There will be an allocated number of spots for each division. Participants must choose to enter the appropriate division: Boys' 11-13, Boys' Overall 13-18, or Girls' 11-18. The Overall Boys' division will compete from approximately 6,600 yards. The Girls' Division and the Boys' 11-13 division will compete from a forward tee approximately 5,500 yards. 

 

Competitors will not be permitted to use automotive transportation (carts) and/or caddies. All participants will carry their own clubs. Pull carts will be permitted. 


Dress CodeCompetitors must be neat in appearance and wear appropriate attire. No gym shorts, cutoffs, blue jeans, tee shirts, etc. Shorts must be Bermuda length.  Note: Squire Creek CC is a spike less facility and all competitors will be required to wear spike less shoes. 

Practice PrivilegesPractice privileges are extended to participants in the Tournament at Squire Creek on February 23, 2024. You may call the Squire Creek Golf Shop starting on Feb. 16 to begin booking your practice round tee times. 

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in all divisions. In addition, low medalist honors will be awarded to the 15 and under team from the overall division (both partners must be 15 and under). In case of a tie for the championship in all divisions, a sudden death playoff will take place immediately upon the conclusion of play. All other ties, determining prizes and recognition, will be decided by matching scorecards (also known as "card count-back" or scorecard play-off), per the USGA method in section 5A(6) of the Committee Procedures.


Rules of GolfPlay will be governed by the current USGA Rules of Golf and LGA Rules of Play Card. All questions will be settled by the LGA Rules Committee, whose decision will be final. Automotive transportation (carts) and/or caddies will not be permitted.

 

Spectators: Spectator carts will be made available to rent as arranged through the golf shop at Squire Creek. All spectators will be required to maintain a distance of 25 yards from competitors with no communication, verbal or non-verbal, with competitors once the round of play has begun. Spectator carts must remain on the cart paths.
