Player of the Year

Player of the Year points are accumulated throughout the year and serve as a ranking for AGA golfers and are used to select players for team events, as well as appoint a "Player of the Year" in each division at the end of the year.

How Does it Work?

Players can acquire points by playing in AGA events, Arizona Sanctioned events, and qualifying for USGA Championships. At the start of each new year, players' points are reset to zero.

Divisions

Open - No age distinction

Senior - Ages 55-64

Legends - Ages 65+

Women's - No age distinction

Senior Women's - Ages 50+

A player's Division is determined by their age at the time of the event, (i.e. a player can start earning Senior points as soon as they turn 55). For Championships, players earn points in the Open division as well as any age division they are eligible for. For Divisional events, players only earn points for the division they sign up for.
