Player Information Sheet
Format:
18 holes of individual stroke play. Players will play from the Blue tee markers wherever they are situated (see Yardage
Sheet). The low 12 individual scores will advance to the 27th Annual California Senior Amateur Championship at The
Preserve Golf Club in Carmel, CA on November 12 – 14, 2018. Any play-offs will take place immediately after the
conclusion of play for the last spot and three alternate positions.
Competition Schedule:
Starting times will begin at 8:00am off #1 and #10 tee. For this tournament the first hole on the Chardonnay course will
be designated as the #1 tee and the first hole on the Zinfandel course will be designated as the #10 tee. Please click here
for groupings and starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
Practice Round Information:
Please call the pro shop to arrange for practice round tee times. Green fees: Monday – Friday ($49), Saturday – Sunday
($86).
Cart Fee Information:
During the competition, golf carts are optional, but highly recommended. Cart rental is $17 per player. A maximum of
two carts per group is permitted. SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED.
Pro Shop and Range:
The pro shop will open at 6:30AM. Range Balls will be provided for players prior to competition round at no cost.
Payment Information:
Visa or Mastercard credit card payments accepted for purchases from the golf shop.
Food and Beverage Information:
Porters Restaurant will open at 6:30AM.
Withdrawals:
Entrants who wish to withdraw from Qualifying must notify the NCGA at 831-625-4653 prior to their scheduled qualifying round. Failure to do so may result in disqualification from future California Amateur competitions.
Refunds:
Full refund less $10 processing fee if requested prior to closing date. 50% refund after the closing date and 48 hours prior to the event. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
Additional Championship Information
Eligibility:
The Championship is open to senior amateur golfers who have an established current index of 7.4 or below as of the time of registration and are members in good standing of the Northern California Golf Association and/or Southern California Golf Association. Senior Amateur entrants must have reached their 55th birthday by November 12, 2018.
Championship Proper Format:
90 players, including exempts, will advance to the championship. The championship field will play 54 holes of stroke play at The Preserve Golf Club. The low 30 players and ties will advance to final round after a 36 hole cut.

Special Exemptions as selected by the NCGA & SCGA
Player Code of Conduct Policy:
By submitting an entry for any NCGA/SCGA administered competitions, the contestant understands that his/her participation is at the sole discretion of the NCGA/SCGA. A contestant may be removed from any competition at the discretion of the NCGA/SCGA staff or Rules and Competitions Committee at any time before or during the competition. Incidents of unbecoming conduct or actions deemed to be detrimental to the image of the NCGA/SCGA or the “Spirit of the Game” are grounds for such removal and suspension from future NCGA/SCGA administered competitions. These include, but are not limited to the following:
- Willful damage of the golf course or golf course property
- Club throwing or unnecessary club tossing
- Offensive or unbecoming language
- Public criticism of golf course or verbal abuse of NCGA/SCGA staff, officials, volunteers, host club staff or other contestants
- Potential endangerment of others
- Conduct deemed unbecoming
- Failure to post scores for handicapping purposes
- Manipulation of scores posted for handicapping purposes
