POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:

• Prior to participating, participants should review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures.

 

FORMAT:

• All players will participate in an 18-hole, Four-Ball Net stroke-play round.
• Maximum Score: During the play of this competition, a player is allowed a maximum gross score under the following format:
  • Par 3: 6 Strokes
  • Par 4: 8 Strokes
  • Par 5: 9 Strokes

 

Please refer to Rule 21.2 for more information. Maximum Score Formats will only be in effect at SCGA One-Day Series tournaments, but will not be in effect at other SCGA Championships & Qualifiers.

• Worldwide Golf Shops gift cards will be distributed in-person to the top-five net finishing sides and the overall low gross group side following the round or at a future event.

 

• • 1^st Place / Low Gross: $100
  • 2^nd Place: $80
  • 3^rd Place: $60
  • 4^th Place: $40
  • 5^th Place: $20

 

• All ties will be broken using the USGA-suggested method of matching scorecards (Committee Procedures: Section 5A (6)).

 

REGISTRATION:

Players must check-in at the SCGA tent near the patio/golf shop to obtain their scorecard and notice to players. Registration will begin at 6:15 a.m.

 

STARTING TIMES & PAIRINGS: 

• Starting time will be at 7:00 a.m., shotgun start format.
• Starting holes and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted on scga.org one week in advance of the tournament.
• All groups should plan to be at their carts 15 minutes in advance of their starting time, to allow for announcement before shotgun start. Players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 9:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 9:00:00, and players arriving after that are considered late.

 

 TEES & YARDAGE:

• ALL MEN will play from the BLUE tee markers. Course Rating: 70.5 / Slope: 122 / Approx. 6,270 yards / Par 72 (Holes 4, 7, 9, 14 & 18 will be played from the white yardage.)
• ALL WOMEN will play from the RED tee markers. Course Rating: 72.3/ Slope: 123 / Approx. 5,557 yards / Par 72.

 

STRACKALINE BOOKS:

• The SCGA and StrackaLine have teamed up to allow our participants the availability to purchase Strackaline Yardage & Greens books at a 20% discount. Please click HERE to purchase your StrackaLine Booklet.  All booklets conform to the Rules of Golf and may be used in tournament play.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS:

• Players may plan for practice rounds at their own expense. To book a practice round, call the golf shop at (562) 421-3388 Ext.2 or book online at www.lbcgolf.com.

• Practice rounds are a privilege, not a right. The SCGA works with a variety of facilities throughout the course of the year, all of which have unique policies and procedures when it comes to practice rounds. These opportunities will be provided at the sole discretion of the host facility.

• We are guests and must follow all facility policies and guidelines when on property. Behavior during practice rounds will be subject to the SCGA Code of Conduct.

 

DRIVING RANGE:

• The driving range will be available by 5:30 a.m.
• Range balls will be provided on the driving range, compliments of Skylinks GC and the SCGA.

 

FOOD SERVICE & PURCHASES:

• The cafe will be open from 6:00 a.m. until the conclusion of play.
• Major credit cards will be accepted for all purchases. 

 

RULES OF PLAY:

• The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and The R&A govern play.
• Local Rules and Terms of the Competition can be found on the SCGA Hard Card and the Notice to Players.

GOLF CARTS & PULL/PUSH CARTS:

• Spectator golf carts will be $17, purchased at the golf shop, however, players who are able and willing to walk may do so.
• There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart. Players wishing to ride will be expected to share a cart with another player.
• Each player is entitled to one seat in a cart. If a player brings a caddie, the caddie may ride provided there is a vacant seat in one of the carts. Otherwise, either the player or the caddie must walk.
• Drivers must be at least 16 years of age (or older if club policy dictates).
• Pull or push carts are permitted.

 

CADDIES & SPECTATORS:

• Players may provide their own caddie (see section on Golf Carts).
• Spectators are permitted but are not allowed in carts. Spectators must adhere to all policies set forth by the facility.

 

DRESS CODE:

• Appropriate golf attire must be worn, including adhering to any club-specific policies.

 

CANCELATIONS & REFUNDS:

• To withdraw for any reason prior to the start of a SCGA competition, a player must notify the SCGA Championships & Golf Operations Department at champs@scga.org.
• Failure to notify the SCGA will subject the player to suspension from future SCGA competitions.
• Refund Policy:
  • Cancelation prior to the entry closing date: Full refund less a $20 administrative fee.
  • Cancelation after the entry closing date and more than 48 hours prior to the start of the competition: 50% of the entry fee.
  • Cancelation within 48 hours of the start of the competition: No refund.

 

SCGA ONE-DAY SERIES POINTS PROGRAM:

Participants will receive points for participating in each One-Day Series Tournament, with top finishers earning additional points based on their net finish. For more information on the SCGA One-Day Series Points Program and the One-Day Series Player of the Year award click here.

 

The top finishers will receive the following point denominations in addition to the participation bonus.

 

1^st – 100 points                                                 6^th – 25 points

2^nd – 65 points                                                  7^th – 20 points

3^rd – 50 points                                                   8^th – 15 points

4^th – 35 points                                                   9^th – 10 points

5^th – 30 points                                                   10^th – 5 points

 

Participation Bonus – 10 points

 

In the event of a tie for any place on the One-Day Series Points List, the tie shall be broken based on:

1. Number of 2024 One-Day Series tournaments participated in
2. Best finish in a 2024 One-Day Series tournament

 

NEW IN 2024: Top-5 Finishers of the SCGA One-Day Series Points List at the conclusion of the regular season prior to the championship will receive a bonus toward the SCGA One-Day Series Player of the Year Race:

 

1^st – 100 points

2^nd – 80 points

3^rd – 70 points

4^th – 60 points

5^th – 50 points
