MAJORS - Individual

 

Registration Opens: 4 weeks prior to each event

FORMAT

These are 18-hole individual net stroke play events.  There are 5 individual Major events:

 

• June 2nd - The Masters at Steeple Chase GC
• June 30th - The Players at Prairie Isle GC
• July 21st - The U.S. Open at Pinecrest GC
• August 11th - The PGA at Foxford Hills GC
• August 25th - The Open at Bonnie Brook GC 

  

 

WHAT'S AT STAKE?

Excluding everyone with 20 rounds, the winners of all the Majors are awarded playoff spots.  There is no minimum number of requirements to be elgible for this competition.

 

ELIGIBILITY

The tournament is open to all dues-paying members of the TPGL.  

 

STARTING TIMES

Tee times for the Championship will be posted on the TPGL website 48 hours in advance.  

 

CADDIES AND CARTS

Caddies and carts are permissible in all TPGL events - rain or shine unless otherwise instructed.  Players are also allowed to walk and carry or walk and push a cart in all TPGL events.

 

PRIZES

GRAND SLAM MAJORS:

Masters, Players, PGA, US Open and The Open

The total purse is $510. Cash prizes are awarded to the top 12 finishers. Payouts are as follows:

• 1st Place $100
• 2nd Place $80
• 3rd Place $60
• 4th Place $50
• 5th Place $45
• 6th Place $40
• 7th Place $35
• 8th Place $30
• 9th Place $25
• 10th Place $20
• 11th place - $15
• 12th place - $10

 

 

TIES

In the event the tournament ends in a tie for any of the cash payouts, the TPGL will split prize money among places that tied.

 

RAINOUT

In the event that the round is cancelled due to inclement weather, we will attempt for a tournament make-up date. If a tournament cannot be rescheduled, the TPGL Committee will determine the best use of the cash payouts and will most likely allocate the payouts to other scheduled TPGL events.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Players may use Distance Measuring Devices in all TPGL events.

Non-metal spike policy is in effect.
