Eligibility
Male amateurs regardless of age or affiliation.

Entry Fee and Deadline
$165 (cart included).  Deadline for entry is Monday, August 19, 2024 at 11:59 PM or when field fills.  Field is limited to 96 players. 

Format
36 holes of individual stroke play with two age divisions.  Champion to be determined in each division.  The event may be shortened to 18 holes if weather cancels either round.  Gift certificates from the host club will be awarded in amounts to be determined based on the number of total entries within each division.

Note:  The Committee reserves the right to adjust the Playing Handicap of golfers who make exceptional scores as defined by the World Handicap System for subsequent rounds in multi-day events.  


Divisions
Two age divisions:

  • Open (any age, gross scoring only)
  • Senior (at least 50 years old as of August 24, 2024; gross & net scoring)


Course Set-Up
The golf course will be set-up at approximately:

  • 6,900 yards (Open Division)
  • 6,500 yards (Senior Division)


Pairings and Order of Play
Round One Order of Play (by division): Determined by course starting schedule. Round Two Order of Play (by division): Senior, Open.


Clubhouse and Practice Facilities
Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time.  Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.

Carts, Spectators and Caddies
Carts will be provided as part of your entry fee for the championship. 


Caddies are allowed for this event and the actions of the caddie during the round are the responsibility of the player (Rule 10.3c). This is the default position for caddies for Central Links Golf events, but availability may vary from event to event or any other factors affecting this policy. Caddies are allowed to ride on and operate the golf cart, provided space is available. Central Links Golf has a strict two carts per group policy and the carts are reserved for the players first. If a group has more than one caddie, arrangements must be made within the group to accommodate the cart policy.

Spectator carts will be available at the discretion and fee set by the host course, but will be very limited.

Registration
There will be no registration at this event.  You are responsible to be at your assigned starting tee at least five (5) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time.  This will give you adequate time to receive instructions and information from the Starter.

Score Posting
Scores from each round of this championship will be posted to the GHIN Handicap System.

Food & Beverage
Tournament players will be given two drink tickets (one each day) which are good for a free beverage, soda, sports drink of your choice in the clubhouse snack bar.  The drink tickets are complimentary and are included as part of your entry fee.

The host club will also have lunch and dinner items available for purchase in the clubhouse restaurant each day.  Cash or credit card are accepted for payment.


Method of Payments
Host club accepts cash or credit card for all purchases.

When Competition is Final
The competition is final when the trophy has been presented to the winner or, in the absence of a prize ceremony, when all scores have been approved by the Committee. The Result of a match is final when the Committee has approved the result as posted on the public scoreboard.
