VSWGA Fees:  Registration costs $15/player. There are no late-adds after 7:00 a.m. on Monday, May 27. Preliminary tee sheets can be viewed on this website in the Tee Sheet drop down menu.  The event info is listed below.  This info will also be sent via email by the Friday before the event.

 

Cancellations/Refunds: 

  • There will be no refunds for cancellations after 7:00 a.m. the day before the State Day.
  • If you cancel prior to 7:00 a.m. the day before the State Day, there will be a $5 refund per person cancelled.
  • Remember, there are no full refunds, so be sure you and your friend can play the event before registering. 

Course and Cart Fees:

  • Players must pay the course and cart fees directly to the club through the Pro Shop.
  • Course fee is $25 per person. 
  • Cart fee is $31 (tax included) per person.  Walking is permitted, no fee. Golfers DO need to call the Golf Shop to reserve a cart. Two carts allowed per foursome, please.

 

Pace of Play

·Player’s starting time and finishing time must be recorded on the completed scorecard:

o   Starting Time:  Time that the first player in the group tees off of 1.

o   Finish Time:  Time when the last player finishes 18.

·USGA Rule 5.6 encourages prompt play and ready golf, even playing out of turn, in a safe and responsible manner to save or make up playing time.

Dorset Field Club Etiquette:

“Members, their families, and guests are expected to be neat, well-groomed, and properly attired in the Clubhouse and on the Club grounds".

   

Acceptable Dining Attire: The Grill is open for lunch and most dinners, and acceptable sports attire and casual attire may be worn there.

Acceptable Golf/Range Attire:  Ladies must wear accepted shoes (soft spikes), golf skirts, slacks or shorts, and shirts (blouses) with either sleeves or collar or both.

Unacceptable Attire on Dorset Field Club Grounds April (opening day) through end of October: Jeans or denim apparel, T-shirts (excluding children under five), tank tops, swimming trunks, running shorts, "pull-on" shorts (except appropriate Tennis attire), cargo pants/shorts, unsightly clothing, or bare feet. Shirts with tails must be tucked in. Hats must be worn with brims forward.

 

 Other Info:

  • Pace of Play is 4 hours 15 min. 
  • There will be 2 Closest to the Pin Holes available, Hole #4 and Hole #13. 
  • Skins will be run at Dorset.
  • All golfers will play from the Green tees.
  • Water is available at the pro shop and between #3 and #7, after 12th hole practice area.
