Eligibility: Open to all active CGA Members, age 25 and older on or before May 15, 2024.

Registration Opens: Friday, March 15, 2024 at 08:00 AM

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, May 08, 2024 at 05:00 PM

Entry Fee: $125.00

Field Size: Maximum of 32 players. 

Format: This is a 32 player match play event played in single elimination over a period of May – September. Each round’s matches are 18 hole matches. The Round of 32, 16 and 8 will be played by players scheduling their matches with their opponent on their own, at a course of their own choosing.

Timing/Schedule of Matches – The entire championship will be played between May 15th and September 25th.

• Round of 32 – May 15th through June 15th
• Round of 16 – June 17th through July 19th
• Round of 8 – July 29th through August 23rd
• Semi-Finals & Finals – September 25th at TPC Colorado

Yardages – Matches should be played from a tee that is between 6,800 – 7,200 yards

Match Extensions – Players will be able to request an extension of the match window once. The extension will be no more than one (1) week after the match deadline of that round. Players must notify Lewis (lharry@coloradogolf.org) before the end of the round window to receive the extension. If the match is still not completed by the end of the extension, the winner of the match will be decided by lot.

Results Reporting: The winner of each match must report the result of the match by emailing Lewis (lharry@coloradogolf.org)

Seeding – The bracket will be seeded as follows:

• #1 – Defending CGA Mid-Amateur Champion (If in field)
• #2-32 – Results from previous year's Mid-Amateur Championship
  • If player did not play in prev. year Mid-Am, then seeded based of prev. year Mid-Am points.
  • If player does not appear in prev. year Mid-Am points, then seeded based on registration priority

Tee Times (Semi-finals and Finals will be at TPC Colorado)

• Semi-Finals: 8:00am and 8:10am
• Final Match: 12:00pm

Carts: Players may use a golf cart, carry their bag, or use a caddie. Golf cart fees are included in the entry fee for players making the semi-finals and finals.
 

Practice Round Information: Practice Rounds are available for a rate $90 (+$24 for cart) on Sept. 17 - 19 & 24 after 11:00am. Semi-Final competitors may call the golf shop to set up a time. Golf shop: (970) 663-5063

Player Food: Food will be available for purchase inside the restaurant at TPC Colorado the player's expense. 

Score Posting: The CGA does not post match play scores to GHIN but will provide the CR/Slope for TPC Colorado.
