Schedule of Events

Monday Morning:  18 Holes Stroke Play Qualifier with top 16 advancing to match play. (Shotgun start)

Monday Afternoon:  Round of 16 matches

 

Tuesday Morning:  Quarterfinal Matches

Tuesday Afternoon:  Semi-final Matches

 

Wednesday Morning:  Championship Match (18 Hole Final)

Eligibility
Any player can apply to play once registration opens on March 5th. Applications will be reviewed as players register, and if a player fits the eligibility requirements they will be admitted in to the tournament. If a player does not meet the eligibility requirements when registered, they will remain on a waitlist until they become eligible or if there are open spots in the field as of May 15th. The field will be reserved for the first 30 boys and 21 girls who meet eligibility requirements. If there are open spots, players will be added from the waitlist to the field until 30 boys and 21 girls are entered in the tournament.

 

Priority Eligibility Requirements:

Players must have an active GHIN # with a CLG member club.

Players must be at least 13 years old and handle respective yardages for their division (Boys: 6800 yards & Girls: 5700 yards)

Boys Handicap Index must be less than 2.0 and Girls Handicap Index must be less than 12.0

Spots will be reserved for any player who reached the Semifinal matches for the KC Junior Match Play Championship in 2023 if they are not yet in college.

Spots will be reserved for the KC Junior Champions and KS Junior Amateur Champions in 2023 and 2024 if they are not yet in college.

Spots will be reserved for the KS Junior Match Play Champions in 2023 if they are not yet in college.

 


National Recognition

This event has AJGA PBERS Status.

 

Entry Fee
$90.

Format
18 holes of stroke-play qualifying to determine the top 16 players to advance to match play. Single elimination match play format from there until the final Champion is crowned.

Divisions and Prizes
Girls and Boys division. Both Champions and Runner Ups will receive a glass trophy.

 

Clubhouse and Practice Facilities
Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time.  Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.

Registration
There will be no registration at this event.  You are responsible to be at your assigned starting tee at least five (5) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time.  This will give you adequate time to receive instructions and information from the Starter.

When Competition is Final
The competition is final when the trophy has been presented to the winner or, in the absence of a prize ceremony, when all scores have been approved by the Committee. The Result of a match is final when the Committee has approved the result as posted on the public scoreboard.
