MASTERS PRO-AM April 7th, 2018
FORMAT: Low Gross/Low Net – On each hole, teams will count one low gross score and one low net score. You may not use the same ball for both gross and net. Each team has been assigned a Professional from the Masters’ field. If your Professional fails to make the cut on Friday, your team will be assigned one of the remaining Professionals in the field via blind draw. At the conclusion of play at the Masters on Saturday, your assigned Professional’s hole-by-hole score for the day will be added to your team to come up with the final scoring. Please note, that for simplicity sake, we will be posting your Professional’s hole-by-hole score from Augusta, which may or may not be helpful to your team based on the individual pars of each hole at CommonGround. EX: Hole 16 at Augusta is a par 3, while Hole 16 at CommonGround is a par 4….Since most professionals will either par or birdie that hole at Augusta, there will be a good chance most of the teams will be looking at a gross birdie or eagle for their team on Hole 16. HANDICAPS: Players will receive 60% of their course handicap TEES: A & B Players: GOLD TEES C & D Players: WHITE TEES SKINS: No skins for this event PROXIES: Closest to the Hole on all Par 3’s SCORING: Immediately following play, please turn in your scorecard with 2 signatures to the Professional Staff in the Golf Shop. SCORE POSTING: Please do not post your scores following play. The golf shop staff will post ALL scores. PRIZE MONEY: 25% of the field will be paid out in Golf Shop Credit. All payouts are based on the Low Gross/Low Net Team total. PACE OF PLAY: It is expected that ALL groups (Except the lead group of the day) play their round in 4 hours and 30 minutes or less. Tee times will be at 11 minute intervals, and the starter will ensure that each group starts at their designated start time using the official clock located on the 1st tee box. Scorecards will have the time that the group should be clearing the green on every hole based on the assigned starting time. There will be two checkpoints where ALL scorecards in the group will need to be timestamped. The first timeclock will be located behind the 9th green. The second timeclock will be located under the tree on the 17th tee box. Pace of play penalties will be assessed, as follows, without exception, based on the official start time and the latest punch of each group after their round:
Penalties will be assessed during scoring by the golf shop staff. Please do not argue with them if you receive a penalty. The policy is black and white, and the golf shop staff will be using the data that you as players will provide them based on your time stamp. If you feel your group encountered extenuating circumstances and believe a penalty waiver should be considered, please direct your appeal to the Men’s Club Board of Directors at mensclub@commongroundgc.com. RULES: USGA Rules will govern all play with the exception of what is listed in the Men’s Club Hard Card.
