RULES & FORMAT

Welcome to all of our players at the 2018 TBE Men’s Club Golf Outing. The tournament today will be played using a Scramble format. Each team will have one player designated as the “Team Captain”. The playing rules are:

  • All players will tee off on each hole (Red tees for Men, Green for Ladies),

  • The team will choose the “best” ball to play on each shot,

  • From ‘tee to green’, balls must be placed within one club length of the chosen ball and on each green the chosen ball will be marked in the exact spot and each player will putt from that spot,

  • The team will post one score per hole on its scorecard, ***: Maximum score is 2 over par on each hole. Once you have reached a max score, pick up your ball and move to the next hole.

  • Each team must use a minimum of one tee shot from each player during the course of the round,

  • For teams of only three players, players will alternate (hole by hole) hitting two shots for the team, from tee to putt, and

  • In the event of a tie among our 1st, 2nd or 3rd place teams, we will break the tie by ‘blind draw’ of a random hole (from among the common holes played) and compare the scores for that hole. We will continue the process until a higher place is selected and if a tie still exists we’ll simply flip a coin.

Awards and prizes will be presented to the players on our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams IN EACH OF THREE FLIGHTS (TBD at the conclusion of play, based on final scoring). In addition, there will be contest winners for “closest to the pin (X2, holes #6 & 16)”, “longest drive” (hole # 15 - in the fairway), “straightest drive” (hole #7) and “longest putt” (hole #18). Hole In One contests will occur around the course on the par-3 holes. The BIG, BIG prize is at #13, where a Hole In One wins $10,000. A Hole-In-One at any of the other par-3 holes pays $500. ** PLEASE NOTE: if more than one hole-in-one occurs on hole #13, the prize money will be divided equally among those who accomplished the feat.
