2024 Father Son Modified Scotch Tournament - Senior Division

Entry Fee: $225 per team

Entries Open: 04/11/2024 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 07/11/2024 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility: 

  • Two person teams
  • Entries open to any amateur Father/Son teams who have an active Mass Golf Membership with combined Handicap Indexes® not exceeding 12.0 combined (as determined by the Handicap Revision on the date of entry).
  • Sons aged 19 years or older as of July 29, 2024.
  • Fathers may only play with one son.

 

Entry Procedures: 

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Field: 

Entries will be on a first come, first served basis. After the field is full a waitlist will automatically start.

 

Format: 

  • 18 holes of Modified Scotch format (commonly known as Modified Foursomes)
  • Both golfers hit their tee shot and select which drive they want to use. They then play alternate shots into the hole. 

 

Approximate Yardages:

  • Play for all competitors will be from approximately 6,500 yards.

 

Caddies & Automotive TransportationCart fee is included in entry fee. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club's discretion) are permitted.

 

Food & Beverage: 

Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary lunch for all competitors.

 

Starting Time: 

Tee Times begin at 7:30 a.m.

 

Playoff:

In the event of a tie for the Champion only, there will be a hole-by-hole sudden death playoff on holes designated by the Committee to determine the Champion team. All other ties will be decided by matching cards in accordance with USGA® recommended method.

 

Awards:

The Father Son Senior Division has a permanent trophy that will be engraved with the names of the winners, and the winners will be given take-home trophies. Prize Certificates (gross & net places) will be given out and must be redeemed at Blackstone National Golf Club.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:

Competitors, who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf staff contact for the event (listed on each event page) or the Mass Golf office in writing (e-mail is acceptable and encouraged) or by phone. 

  • At least seven days prior to the event
    • entry fee minus a $20 administrative fee will be refunded
  • Less than seven days and at least 48 hours prior to the event
    • 50% of entry fee will be refunded
  • Within 48 hours of the event
    • no refunds will be processed
