CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE

FIELD
The championship will be played over all 27 holes at Glencairn. The field for 2024 will be a maximum of 48 teams of three, 144 players in total.

- Teams starting on Scotch Block with play Scotch Block, Leithfield then Speyside

TIME PAR
The time par to play each nine holes is 2 hours and fifteen minutes
FORMAT
27 hole - 3 person scramble. In selecting the position to be played, from everywhere but on the putting green-mark the position, balls to be placed within one scorecard length of that position, no closer to the hole, without changing medium (i.e. rough to fairway, fringe to green, etc.) On the putting green, balls to be played from the exact position.
TEES:
- 59 and Under (Men): play Glencairn Gold - 10,207 yards
- 60 + (Men): play Glencairn Blue - 9,577 yards
- 59 and Under (Women): play Glencairn Silver - 9,241 yards
- 60+ (Women): Play Glencairn White - 8,984 yards
SCORING
The PGA of Ontario team asks that each group enter the scores into the Golf Genius app. Whether you are using an Apple or Android device, please download the app and record the scores either as you play or after your round before coming to the scoring table. Inside your carts will be QR codes for the Golf Genius app along with instructions on how to enter the scores.
PLAYOFFS
The Championship tie will be decided by a “sudden victory” playoff immediately following the conclusion of play. If still tied after 1 hole, the Championship will be decided by shootout from 100 yards. One shot per competitor, closest to the hole on the green are declared Champions.
SKINS
Skins will be conducted using the following guidelines - $60 per team.
DRIVING RANGE
The driving range will be open and balls are available on the range.
CARTS AND ON-COURSE EQUIPMENT
Carts are included. Players must adhere to the host facility cart rules.
SPECTATORS
Spectators are permitted.

DRESS CODE
Competitors must adhere to the PGA of Ontario Dress Code which is also available in the competitor registration package.
**Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times. Open-toed footwear, (sandals of any type/flip flop style footwear) will not be permitted into host venue Clubhouses before or upon completion of any Ontario Zone sanctioned round.
MEASURING DEVICES
A player may obtain distance information by using a device that: MEASURES DISTANCE ONLY
However, if a distance measuring device has additional functionality that can gauge or measure other conditions that might affect a player’s play (e.g. elevation change, wind speed, etc.), the use of any such additional function would be a breach of Rule 4.3a.
MUSIC
Music at a minimal volume level and agreed upon by the group may be played.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG POLICY
Stroke Play Event Alcohol Policy
- The consumption of alcohol before or during any PGA of Ontario stroke play event or Playing Ability Test is strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy is considered conduct unbecoming of a Member of the PGA of Ontario, and swift penalty will be issued by the Tournament Captain and PGA of Ontario office.
Team Event Alcohol Policy
- The PGA of Ontario will allow the purchase of alcohol from the host facility during team events only. This policy will be reviewed following each event and if any issues arise (including, but not limited to, professional conduct, alcohol abuse, or liability), this policy will be revoked immediately. Penalties will be issued based on any Professional violating Liquor Laws, our Tournament Policy and/or the PGA Code of Professional Conduct and Safe Sport Policy.
Drug Policy
- The PGA of Ontario will abide by each facility's drug policy.
ANTI-DOPING POLICY
