ELIGIBILITY:      Open to any female amateur golfer who is a legal resident of South Carolina for a minimum of six months prior to the championship, is a member of a Women’s Golf Association which is a regular or associate member of the WSCGA, and has a current handicap index issued by the Handicap Program of the Carolinas. Teams of 6 women who must keep a handicap at the club they are representing. Players can only compete on 1 team. If you are a transgendered individual, please contact the WSCGA office for the WSCGA policy and additional application procedures.
 

ENTRIES:             All entries must be filed online and received by 5:00 p.m. on April 9, 2018.  Notice of acceptance or non-acceptance of entries will be e-mailed after the entry deadline. Entry fee of $50 per player/$300 per team includes golf, tournament cart fees, range balls, and tips for bag drop. No refunds will be made for a withdrawal after April 9th.

 

FORMAT:             USGA Rules apply. Local Rules will be distributed at the tournament site.  The WSCGA Palmetto Cup Championship shall be 18 holes, team four-ball match play. The first 20 teams will be accepted into this event, unless a team joins the wait list from a club that is not already in the field before registration closes at 5pm on April 9.  If so, a course with two teams registered will move to the waitlist position.  Individual Handicap Index limit for entering is 36.0. Teams will be split into 3 teams of two, paired by handicap order from Low – High; named Team A, B & C. Ties for the Championship Title shall be decided by sudden-death playoff of the A Teams from each club. The right to playoff is forfeited if the participants are not available 10 minutes following the posting of all scores in their flight.

 

RESTRICTIONS:  No Caddies. The WSCGA Dress Code is designed to maintain an atmosphere consistent with the traditions of the game of golf and the WSCGA. Proper golf attire is required. Tank tops, halter tops, racer-back shirts with no collar, blue jeans, cut-offs, short shorts (less than a 4-inch inseam), or bare feet are considered inappropriate attire.

      The WSCGA Tournament Committee is obliged to strictly enforce the dress code as specified by the host course for each Championship. The Committee shall enforce the decision made by the host course staff as to whether the requirements of the dress code have been met. Players are notified of specific host club dress code requirements in the confirmation letter sent out prior to each Championship.

Metal golf shoe spikes are prohibited.  Personal coolers are prohibited.

 

SCHEDULE:         Monday, April 23            9:30 a.m. Shotgun. Team 2 Person Best Ball Match Play – Gross.

 

 

POINTS:               Each match is competing for 18 points; 1 per hole. Points earned by each team will be tallied and the team with the highest aggregate will be crowned the Champions.   

 

Club only accepts Credit Cards no cash
