Eligibility:  Participants must be SNEWGA Members as of April 21, 2018

 

Entry Deadline: May 12, 2018 11:59 p.m., EDT; ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAY 12

 

Entry Fee:  $90.00 per player; $360 per team

 

Includes: Breakfast, golf, cart, lunch buffet, and prizes

Cash beverage cart on course and cash bar at lunch

 

Registered teams will be in 'pending' status through entry deadline.  Entry fee will be charged after team has been accepted into the field, including 2nd and 3rd teams from a club.  If the field is full, any team that did not get in will not be charged (their entry will not be approved).

 

Practice Round:  Practice rounds are available to all players, any day prior to the event, after 12n for a fee of $40, including cart.  Please call the pro shop at 203-375-4293 to schedule your practice round. 

 

Course Facilities:  Driving range and practice putting green available.

 

Tournament/Format Details:

 

  • 4 Member - ABCD Team Event, all players from the same SNEWGA club. (The "Regional Club pool" is considered a single club.)
  • Par 5s - One Best Ball; Par 4s - Two Best Balls; Par 3s - Three Best Balls
  • Indexes: 
    • A (0 - 14.4)
    • B (14.5 - 21.0)
    • C (21.1 - 27.0)
    • D (27.1 - 40.4)
  • Teams may borrow a D player from another club. 
  • You may substitute a higher handicap player for a lower handicap player, but not the reverse (not lower for higher). For example -- If no A player is available, you can use 2 B players. If no B player, use 2 C players.  If no C, use 2 D players.

 

  • Teams must meet flight eligibility in the GHIN revision in which application is received.
  • The May 15th GHIN revision will be used for tournament handicaps.
  • The Perpetual Cup will be awarded to the team with the lowest NET score.
  • You may submit more than one team and will be notified by May 12th regarding the status of the extra teams.  Please submit each team separately and designate Team ranking, i.e., Team #1, Team #2. 
  • 3-person teams will be considered if field does not fill.
  • Player D will play to a max of 40.4 index.

 

  • Each team will be allotted 90% of their total team handicap.

Withdrawal/Refund Policy

 

  • If it is necessary to cancel, please contact the Tournament Coordinator below.
  • Withdrawals made prior to the entry deadline are subject to a $5 cancellation fee.
  • Withdrawals after the entry deadline will result in forfeiture of all entry fees.

 

Schedule of Events

 

  • 7:30 a.m. - Breakfast & Registration 
  • 9:00 a.m. - Shotgun start 
  • 1:45 p.m. - Lunch and Awards Presentation 

 

Trophies & Prizes: Prize winners for each division will receive merchandise credit redeemable at the Oronoque Pro Shop.

Weather: Tournament will take place, rain or shine, unless management closes the course.  It will be played in the rain, course permitting. Delays or changes will be communicated to the players the morning of the event via text and email. 

 

In the event the course closes for the day, Rainout date is July 23.
