Rules of play

 

Format:   Two man teams compete in a singles match play against their respective opponent.

  • 1 point is awarded for each hole won.
  • ½ point is awarded for each hole halved.
  • 2 points are awarded for winning the match.

 

If both team members are present:  The A player will play against the A player of the opposing team.  The B player will play the B player of the opposing team.

 

If only one team member is present against two opposing team members:  That one team member will play against one player from the other team. If the one player is an A player he will play the other teams A player.  If he is the B player he will play the other teams B player.  The other team member will play against par.  The team member that is playing against par can do no worse than a 6.5/4.5 winning point total. 

 

If only one team member is present from each team:  They play against each other regardless if they are the A player or B player.  The two opponents from each team that are not present to play will be awarded 5.5 points each.

 

If no team member is present to represent the team against two opposing team members: The Team that is not present will be awarded the lowest point total earned that evening but no better than 9 total points.  The Team that is present will play against PAR and can do no worse than a 6.5/4.5 winning point total.

 

If no team member is present to represent the team against only 1 opposing team member: The two opponents from each team that are not present to play will be awarded 5.5 points each.  The one team member that is present will play against par and can earn no worse than a 6.5/4.5 winning point total.

 

Number of holes needed to complete a match: If less than nine holes are completed due to weather or darkness.  At least 6 holes must be completed by all players for the match to count.  Any hole not completed will be considered halved between the two opponents.  NO skins will be paid out.  NO closest to the pin will be paid out

 

Tees in play: If a player wants to play from White tees that request must be made prior to the start of the league.  Strokes will be deducted from the White tee player in accordance with the USGA guidelines.

 

Subs: A Sub can be utilized for any regular league event or playoff.

Side Games:

Closest to the pin for the low handicap and closest to the pin for high handicap at $ 5

 

Skins game on each nine gross and net at $ 10.  A gross skin cannot be cut by a net skin. 

 

 

 

Starting times: The league will start play at 6:00 PM

 

How to win prize money in 2018: This will be determined after the number of teams is determined. Teams may be divided into 2 flights.  There are 12 league weeks in 2016.

 

 

** If a week is missed due to weather that week will not be made up.

April 10th                 Entry Deadline for teams.

May 17th                  First day of league play

Aug 9th                     End of Men’s league play and Banquet

 

 

Entry Fee:    $ 60 per man        

 

Men’s League Captain
