Senior Flight – Open to all amateur golfers 55 years old as of August 25, 2018 with a USGA index of 6.7 or lower on August 16, 2018.

Super Senior Flight - Open to all amateur golfers 65 years old as of August 25, 2018 with a USGA index of 9.7 or lower on August 16, 2018.

Women's Flight - Open to all Women amateur golfers, with a USGA index of 12.9 or lower on August 16, 2018.

Entry: $160.00 per player – Includes all greens fees, prize fund, BBQ lunch on Sunday, and awards. Power carts are available for an additional charge. Deadline for entries is Wednesday, August 22, 2018, 4:00 PM. Submission of an entry form indicates agreement on the part of the player to abide by the rules and decisions of the Tournament Committee.

 

Format: Stroke Play over 36 holes with a maximum of 100 players in the Senior and Super Senior, and Women's Flights combined. Play will be on the Santa Teresa Golf Club Championship course 18 holes each day Saturday and Sunday, August 25 and 26, 2018. Sunday pairings will be based on Saturday scores, with the leaders competing at the end of the field. 

 

Rules: All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. All decisions of the Rules Committee are final. Power carts are permitted during the tournament at the player’s expense. Local rules, notice to competitors, pace of play policy and hole location sheets will be available at the registration table. The use of cell phones and pagers is prohibited. Distance measuring devices that measure distance only are approved.

Ties: In the event of a tie for the championship of any flight, a sudden death playoff will take place immediately following the completion of 36 holes.

Awards: The player in each flight with the lowest 36-hole score will be declared the 2018 San Jose City Champion for their flight. The Senior Flight Champion will receive a crystal trophy and a merchandise certificate. Merchandise certificates will be awarded to players based on the size of field.

UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT – PENALTY: DISQUALIFICATION

DRESS CODE:

Golf shirts with sleeves, golf shorts , golf slacks (no jeans allowed).
