GreatLIFE Jr Tour Golfer,

 

Please read below the general information regarding the GreatLIFE Jr Tour.  The goal for the GreatLIFE Jr Tour is to provide a fun and competetive environment for your junior golfer. 

 

Withdrawal Policy:

Please let us know if you do not plan on attending any tournaments that you signed up for.  Refunds will be givin up until the pairings are made.  Please email:  Jason Sudenga to WD from any event.

 

Dress Code:

Please wear proper golf attire to all tournaments.  No denim, tank tops, sandals or cut off shorts or shirts will be allowed.

 

Starting Times: 

Each event will start at 8:00 am with a shotgun start.  We will have pairings out 1 day prior to the start of the event.

 

Check In:

Check-in will start at 7:00 am at each site.  Please be checked in no later than 7:30 am.

 

Player Meeting:

We will have a player meeting starting at 7:45 am for each tournament and then head out on the course. 

 

Tees:

13 & Under(Boys & Girls) will play the GreatLIFE Family Tees.

14-15 Girls - Forward Tees

14-15 Boys - Standard Men's tees

16-18 Girls - Forward Tees/Standard Men's Tees

16-18 Boys - Back Tees/Standard Men's Tees

 

Scorecards:  It is imperative to make sure that a player’s hole-by-hole score is accurate. At the end of a round it is required that 2 signatures are present to verify that scores are correct. GreatLIFE staff request that all players head to the scoring table with their group. GreatLIFE staff will go over the scores with the players one last time before accepting the scorecards as official scores.

 

10 Shot Rule:

Once a player reaches a score of 10 on a hole (strokes + penalty strokes), they are required to pick up their ball and record a 10 on the hole.  Please be curteous and walk along with the group until they finish the hole. 

 

Parents:

If any parent would like to keep score for the 13 & under groups please email me so we can get you on the list.  Parents are encouraged to cheer on all golfers.  While you may visit with your child on the course, please do not instruct or tell the kids what club to hit.  This is a time for them to learn the game.  Part of getting better is learning from your mistakes.  For the ages 13 & Under we would like to have a parent walk along to help keep score for the kids.  Each and every kid may have a bad score at some point and time.  It is easy to miss a stroke when you are taking a few more swings than normal.

 

Rules of Play:

USGA Rules will apply.

 

Weather Policy: South Dakota weather can be pretty unpredictable. Our number one priority is safety for all players and spectators. If weather is deemed to be dangerous, play may be canceled or delayed. GreatLIFE reserves the right to cancel or delay a tournament due to inclement weather or unplayable course conditions. If the weather does not subside during the suspension of play, GreatLIFE will pick out a day to reschedule the event.
