METHOD OF PLAY

36-Holes, Individual Stroke Play Boys & Girls Followed by Top-16 Match Play

 

The field will be divided into the following divisions:

• Overall Boys (Stroke Play Qualifier Only)
• Boys Open Division 12-18 (Match Play Only)
• Boys 12-15 (Match Play Only)
• Girls Open Division 12-18 (Stroke Play Qualifier & Match Play)

 

Boys can select whether to play in the Open Division or 12-15 Division for Match Play at the time of registration (can't play in both). A player should consider their playing ability when deciding whether to play in the Open Division as it will be more competitive. A player can switch their division selection up to their first round tee time of Stroke Play.

 

In the event of a tie in the Stroke Play Qualifier for overall or the final match play spots, there will be a sudden-death playoff to determine a sole winner/qualifier(s).

 

Ties in stroke play qualifying for match play will be decided by a blind draw, except that places of those participating in any playoff will be determined by their performance in the playoff.

 

In the event of a tied match, (a) the winner will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole play-off and (b) the round is deemed to extend to as many holes as are required for a match to be won (Rule 3.2a (4)).

 

Conditions of the playoff will be announced on-site by the OGA Rules Committee.

ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility for this event and its divisions is limited to individuals who meet all of the following criteria:

 

• Must have a residence in the state of Oklahoma.
• Must be between the ages of 12-18 as of June 2, 2025. Note: 19 year old's are also eligible assuming they haven't started their freshman year of college.
• A Handicap Index of 10.0 or less is recommended for participation - Visit Your Local Facility
• Must have created a Player's Account Through Golf Genius - Register Now
• Participants must conform to the USGA Rules of Amateur Status.

EXEMPTIONS - USGA U.S. JUNIOR AMATEUR & U.S. GIRLS'

The Champion of the OGA Junior Boys Open Division Match Play will receive an exemption to play in the 77th U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at Trinity Forest Golf Club on July 21-26, 2025.

 

The Champion of the OGA Junior Girls Open Division Match Play will receive an exemption to play in the 76th U.S. Girls' Junior Championship at Atlanta Athletic Club on July 14-19, 2025.
