On behalf of the staff at both Candia Woods Golf Links & The Oaks Golf Links, we welcome you to the 2018 CandiaOaks Invitational Member~Guest.  We have a wonderful weekend lined up for you.  The golf courses are in spectacular condition and we hope you enjoy all of the festivities this weekend.

 

On Saturday, July 14th you will start the tournament at Candia Woods Golf Links.  Candia Woods opened for play in 1964.  The golf course was designed by Phil Wogan whose father, Skip Wogan, worked directly for the famed golf course architect Donald Ross.  Through the years Candia Woods has undergone a number of changes and improvements all of which have been overseen by the original designer and his firm. 

 

The club has been host to many state and local events including the prestigious New Hampshire Amateur in 1990 and the New Hampshire Open in 1971.  Although Candia Woods offers the challenge to tournament players it is a very enjoyable course for players of all abilities.  Generous fairways and the option to run the ball onto every green are part of the reason that Candia Woods is called:  The Friendliest Course in New Hampshire.

 

Sunday, July 15th you will make your way to Somersworth, NH to complete the 36 Hole Best Ball format.  Architect Brad Booth designed and built the golf course in 2004.  From the beginning, we've known that the site for The Oaks Golf Links is very special. In fact, it resembles an area south of London, England, called the Heathland where many of the world's greatest golf courses were built in the 19th century.
 

Ideal changes in elevation and sand/gravel sub soils provided architect Brad Booth an opportunity to design holes that are exceptional.  With perfectly manicured bent grass on the tees, fairways and greens The Oaks is one of New Hampshire's premier golf facilities

  • $40 Team Skins for Weekend Collected
  • $10 per player for Hole In One & Putting Contest Entry ($500 on each par 3 both days) Collected…Proceeds To Benefit the McDonough Scholarship Foundation
  • Luncheon follows at the Clearing Grille Room

Sunday, July 15th - Day 2

  • 8:30am Shotgun at The Oaks
  • Riding Cart & Range Balls included
  • Coffee & Danish provided
  • Silent Auction Bidding Continues to Benefit First Tee of NH and CandiaOaks Junior Programs
  • Putting Contest to take place during play at the practice green.
  • Luncheon Follows play in Grandview Ballroom
