Welcome to the 2025 Miami Valley Golf Spring Better Ball!

Thank you for joining us for this year’s Spring Better Ball event. Below is information you’ll need ahead of Monday’s 1:00 PM shotgun start.

🗓 Event Schedule

  • 11:00 AM – Putt for the Future begins (two-person better ball putting contest to benefit Youth on Course)

  • 11:00 AM – Clubs for a Cause opens – Donate gently used clubs with Club Partners to benefit Youth on Course

  • 11:30 AM – Skins Registration & Lunch (included with entry) Opens

  • 1:00 PM – Shotgun start

  • Post-round – Scoring verification (where lunch was served), followed by cash bar, appetizers, and awards

💰 Optional Games

Putt for the Future

  • Entry: $20 per team, per round

  • Format: 6-hole putting course

    • One putt per partner per hole

    • Total made putts = team score

  • Distances: 6–12 feet

  • Payout: 50% to the purse, 50% to Youth on Course

  • Note: Each round requires a separate entry. Teams may place in multiple positions.

 

Skins Game

  • Entry: $20 per team (cash only)

  • Format: Four separate pots by division:

    • Gross Divisions: Skins awarded in Open and Senior categories

    • Net Divisions: Skins awarded in Open and Senior categories

📱 Scoring Information

We encourage the use of electronic scoring via the Golf Genius app. You may also return a printed scorecard if necessary. Scorecards will be accepted for 45 minutes after the first electronic scorecard is submitted per course.

🎯 Handicaps

Handicaps for Net Divisions will be based on the revision from Friday, April 25th. See the Handicap Analysis on the event website for details.

🏆 In Case of Ties

All ties will be broken using the USGA Regression Method. 

🏌️‍♂️ Practice Facilities

Due to the field size, driving range use will be on artificial surfaces. Space is limited, so please plan accordingly.
