103rd MEN'S METROPOLITAN CHAMPIONSHIP

Dates: Thursday through Sunday, July 24th-27th, 2025

Entry Fee: $250

 

Exemptions: The 2025 Champion will be exempt into the 125th U.S. Amateur at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, CA, August 11-17, 2025 and the 2026 Ohio Amateur Championship.  Additionally, the top three finishers & ties will be exempt into Final Qualifying for the 2026 U.S. Amateur.

 

Registration Deadline: Friday, July 18th, 2025, at 11:59PM
 

Registration Includes: Greens fee, carts, range balls, and awards.
 

Starting Times: Play will begin at 7:30AM each day of the Championship.  Groupings for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be set with the highest scores teeing off first.

 

Rules of Play: Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf of the USGA and R&A Limited and where applicable, by the Local Rules and Conditions set forth by the MVG.

 

Eligibility: Contestants must reside in the State of Ohio or attend an Educational Institution within the State of Ohio.

 

Format of Play: 72 holes of Stroke Play with the low 32 scores and ties after 36 holes qualifying for weekend play.

 

Groupings Available: Groupings will be e-mailed to addresses provided on the entry form and at MiamiValleyGolf.org and on this Event Microsite.

 

Dress Code: Clothing that respects the traditions of the game is required.  Short shorts, tank tops, and jeans of any nature are not permitted.  A non-metal spike is required.

Awards: Gift certificates will be awarded to the top 10 finishers.

  

Playoff:  If a tie exists after regulation play, a 3-hole aggregate playoff will determine the Champion (Holes #16, #17 & #18).  If a tie still exists, a sudden victory playoff will be used to determine the winner.
