TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:

Prior to participating, participants should review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures.

 

FORMAT:

Under individual net stableford stroke play, participants will receive the following points for their score on each hole:

  • 0 points for a net double bogey or worse,
  • 6 points for a net four strokes under.
  • 5 points for a net double eagle,
  • 4 points for a net eagle, and
  • 3 points for a net birdie,
  • 2 points for a net par,
  • 1 point for a net bogey,

**Participants are highly encouraged to pick up once you have reached net double bogey**

 

Please refer to Rule 21.2 for more information. Maximum Score Formats will only be in effect at SCGA One-Day Series tournaments, but will not be in effect at other SCGA Championships & Qualifiers.

 

Flight Breakdown (Players are flighted and will play to their Handicap Index as of July 9):

  • Arroyo Flight: 7.6 & below.
  • Mission Flight: 7.7 – 15.2
  • Pacific Flight: 15.3 & above.

 

Worldwide Golf Shops gift cards will be distributed in-person to the top-three net finishes in each flight and the overall low gross individual following the round or at a future event:

  • 1st Place / Low Gross: $100
  • 2nd Place: $60
  • 3rd Place: $40

 

All ties will be broken using the USGA-suggested method of matching scorecards (Committee Procedures: Section 5A (6)).

 

REGISTRATION:

There will be no formal registration for this event.

 

STARTING TIMES & PAIRINGS: 

  • Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted on scga.org one week in advance of the tournament.
  • Starting time will range from 7:30 a.m. to approximately 11:00 a.m. off Tee #1.
  • Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time. Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive once the preceding group has teed off. Players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 9:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 9:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late.

   

TEES & YARDAGE:

  • All MEN in the ARROYO/MISSION Flights will play from the BLUE tee markers. Course Rating: 69.2/ Slope: 122 / Approx. 5,953 yards / Par 71.
  • All MEN in the PACIFIC Flight will play from the WHITE tee markers. Course Rating: 67.5 / Slope: 117 / Approx. 5,558 yards / Par 71.
  • All WOMEN will play from the RED tee markers. Course Rating: 67.5 / Slope: 112 / Approx. 4,590 yards / Par 70.

 

STRACKALINE BOOKS:

The SCGA and StrackaLine have teamed up to allow our participants the availability to purchase StrackaLine Yardage & Greens books at a 20% discount. Click here to purchase your StrackaLine Booklet. All booklets conform to the Rules of Golf and may be used in tournament play.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS:

  • Players may plan for practice rounds at their own expense. To book a practice round, visit their website, sterlinghillsgolf.com. Practice Rounds are subject to availability.
  • Practice rounds are a privilege, not a right. The SCGA works with a variety of facilities throughout the course of the year, all of which have unique policies and procedures when it comes to practice rounds. These opportunities will be provided at the sole discretion of the host facility.
  • We are guests and must follow all facility policies and guidelines when on property. Behavior during practice rounds will be subject to the SCGA Code of Conduct.

 

DRIVING RANGE:

  • The driving range will be available by 6 a.m.
  • Range balls will be provided on the driving range, compliments of Sterling Hills GC and the SCGA.

 

FOOD SERVICE & PURCHASES:

  • The snack bar will be open from 6:30 a.m. until the conclusion of play.
  • Cash and major credit cards will be accepted for all purchases. 

 

RULES OF PLAY:

The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and The R&A govern play.

GOLF CARTS & PULL/PUSH CARTS:

  • Golf carts are included as part of the entry fee; however, players who are able and willing to walk may do so.
  • There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart. Players wishing to ride will be expected to share a cart with another player.
  • Each player is entitled to one seat in a cart. If a player brings a caddie, the caddie may ride provided there is a vacant seat in one of the carts. Otherwise, either the player or the caddie must walk.
  • Drivers must be at least 16 years of age (or older if club policy dictates).
  • Pull or push carts are permitted.

 

 

CADDIES & SPECTATORS:

  • Players may provide their own caddie (see section on Golf Carts).
  • Spectators are permitted but are not allowed in carts. Spectators must adhere to all policies set forth by the facility.

 

DRESS CODE:

  • Appropriate golf attire must be worn, including adhering to any club-specific policies.

 

CANCELATIONS & REFUNDS:

  • To withdraw for any reason prior to the start of a SCGA competition, a player must notify the SCGA Championships & Golf Operations Department at champs@scga.org.
  • Failure to notify the SCGA will subject the player to suspension from future SCGA competitions.
  • Refund Policy:
    • Cancelation prior to the entry closing date: Full refund less a $20 administrative fee.
    • Cancelation after the entry closing date and more than 48 hours prior to the start of the competition: 50% of the entry fee.
    • Cancelation within 48 hours of the start of the competition: No refund.

 

SCGA ONE-DAY SERIES POINTS PROGRAM:

Participants will receive points for participating in each One-Day Series Tournament, with top finishers earning additional points based on their net finish. For more information on the SCGA One-Day Series Points Program and the One-Day Series Player of the Year award click here.

 

The top finishers will receive the following point denominations in addition to the participation bonus.

 

1st – 100 points                                                 6th – 25 points

2nd – 65 points                                                  7th – 20 points

3rd – 50 points                                                   8th – 15 points

4th – 35 points                                                   9th – 10 points

5th – 30 points                                                   10th – 5 points

 

Participation Bonus – 10 points

 

The top-5 finishers of the SCGA One-Day Series Points List at the conclusion of the regular season prior to the championship will receive a bonus toward the SCGA One-Day Series Player of the Year Race:

 

1st – 100 points

2nd – 80 points

3rd – 70 points

4th – 60 points

5th – 50 points

 

In the event of a tie for any place on the One-Day Series Points List, the tie shall be broken based on:

  • Number of 2025 One-Day Series tournaments participated in
  • Best finish in a 2025 One-Day Series tournament
