2025 ASGA "Monk" Wade Junior Classic

ELIGIBILITY: This Championship in honor of Charles “Monk” Wade, Executive Director of the Arkansas State Golf Association 1975-1990, is open to male and female golfers who will not reach their 19th birthday by May 10th, 2025 or entered college, who are bona fide residents of the state of Arkansas, and upon approval by the ASGA, non-residents whose home course is located in Arkansas. All participants must be ASGA Junior Members and the field is limited. Entry fee includes golf for two rounds, a lunch on Saturday after the first round, player gift and range balls. The First Tee is located at #1 The First Tee Way, Little Rock,72204, off South University Avenue.
AGE DIVISIONS: Boys and Girls ages 7-11 will play 9 holes each day on the Honor’s Course (par-3 short course); and the field is limited to 39 players. Girl’s ages 12-13 will play 9 holes on the par-3 Honor’s Course and 9 holes on the Chairman’s Course (2,300 yards / Gold Tees) each day. Boy’s ages 12-13 and Girls ages 14-18 will play 9 holes on the par-3 Honor’s Course and 9 holes on the Chairman’s Course (2,800 yards / Green Tees) each day. Boys ages 14-18 will play 9 holes on the Honor’s Course and 9 holes on the Chairman’s Course (3,300 yards / Blue Tees) each day; and the field is limited to 60 players. In the event of inclement weather, the ASGA reserves the right to reduce the number of holes.
TEE GIFTS & SKILLS CHALLENGE: Each participant will receive a “Monk” Wade Junior Classic Imperial hat and an ASGA golf towel, courtesy of The Ashley Group. There will also be a skills challenge that participants may compete in for additional prizes!
CADDIES: Will ONLY be allowed for participants competing in 7-11 divisions. Participants competing in divisions 12-18, parents may ONLY watch, but are not permitted to caddie, coach, give advice or harass players during the stipulated round. Parents may provide nourishment and encouragement and should keep a minimum distance at other times.
TROPHIES: Will be awarded for first and second in each age division: Boys and Girls 7-8, 9-11, 12-13, & 14-18. Player of the Year points will be awarded to the top 10 in the Girls 14-18 Division and Boys 14-18 Division. The ASGA Junior Code of Conduct Policy will be strictly enforced.
ENTRY FEE: The entry fee is $80 for Boys and Girls ages 7-11, that will play 9 holes each day; and $120 for Boys and Girls Ages 12-18, that will play 18 holes each day. Entries may be paid online at www.asga.org and enter with a credit card. Deadline is April 28th, or until the field is full. Entries that do not meet the requirements will be returned.
PRACTICE ROUND: Please call the golf shop, 501-379-8727 to reserve a practice round tee time.
SPECTATOR CARTS: Are limited and rented out on a first come, first serve basis.
STARTING TIMES: For the first round will be posted at www.asga.org and emailed to players no later than May 8th. Starting times for the final round will be posted at The First Tee, on the website, and emailed to players as soon as possible following the first round.
