Registration Opens: Monday, May 12th at 8:00am 

 

Registration Deadline: Sunday, July 6th at 11:59pm

 

Entry Fee: $280 per competitor

 

 

Tournament Information

Base Access: Each person, players, caddies, spectators, wanting to get on base must complete the online visitor registration and be cleared to enter the Air Force Academy base. This must be done before the first day of the event. You will enter through the South Gate. CLICK HERE FOR VISITOR PASS LINK

 

Non US Citizens or Passport Only Holders: You must go to the Pass and Registration office in-person to complete the visitor registration process and be cleared to enter the Air Force Academy base. This must be done before the first day of the event.  You will enter through the South Gate. The office is located just outside the South Gate on the right side and is open during the weekdays, 7:30am - 3:45pm.

Field Size: 84 players

Note: Each division has it's own field size maximums. 

Note: Championship is filled on a first come, first served basis using the registration date and time. If oversubscribed, a wait list will be maintained in case of cancellation. If a division is oversubscribed, and another is undersubscribed, players will be moved into the championship off the waitlist up until the full field maximum is reached, in this division order; championship, mid-amateur, flighted. 

 

Format: 54 holes of individual stroke play

When registering, players will choose the division they wish to compete in. Players will remain in same division throughout the championship.   

 

Championship Division:

There will be no flights within this division. All registered players within the division compete against each other for Gross prizes. The State Women’s Stroke Play Champion will be awarded from this division.            

Field Size: 42 players

Estimated Yardage: 6200+

Handicap Index Recommendation: 9.0 or below

 

Mid-Amateur Division (25 years or older):

There will be no flights within this division. All registered players within the division compete against each other for Gross prizes. The State Women’s Mid-Amateur Stroke Play Champion will be awarded from this division.

Field Size: 24 players 

Estimated Yardage: 5700 – 6000

Handicap Index Recommendation: 15.0 or below

Age Limit: Must be 25 years or older on or before July 14.

 

Flighted Division:

Competitors are pre-flighted by playing handicap. The committee will determine flight size based on player numbers and handicap spread. Gross and Net prizes awarded within each flight.

Field Size: 18 players 

Estimated Yardage: 5200 - 5500

Handicap Index Max: 30.0

Note: All players will compete at 95% of course handicap.

Starting Times: Tee times beginning at 7:30am.  

 

Carts: Carts are optional, included in entry fee.

Note: Only two carts are allowed per group. 

 

Caddies: Caddies are allowed.

Note: Caddies are not guaranteed a seat in a cart. Only two carts are allowed per group. Players have priority for carts over caddies. 

 

Prizes: Merchandise gift certificates are awarded for the top finishes within each division/flight. Championship and Mid-Amateur Division will compete for gross prizes only. Net Division will award both gross and net prizes.

  • The player with the lowest gross score for 54 holes in the Championship Division is the State Stroke Play Champion and will receive a trophy. Ties for first low gross in the Championship Division are played off in a hole-by-hole playoff.
  • The Player with the lowest gross score for 54 holes in the Mid-Amateur Division is the State Mid-Amateur Stroke Play Champion and will receive a trophy. Ties for first low gross in the Mid-Amateur Division are played off in a hole-by-hole playoff. 
  • All other prize payout ties will be broken by USGA matching scorecards method (using last nine = holes 10-18).

Food & Beverage: Lunch will be provided on the last day following play, included in entry. 

 

Score Posting: The CGA will post scores for players.
