2024 Saturday Game Rules

 

The goal of the Saturday Game Rules is to create an equitable game that players from all handicaps can enjoy. If the Club finds that these rules are not equitable, the Club reserves the right to change them. 

 

Quota Point Game – To determine your quote that you are trying to achieve, you take 36 and subtract your handicap from the tees that you are playing. This will give you your total quota. Your front and back nine quotas will be half of the total quota. (Example: You are a 6 handicap from the blue tees. 36 – 6 = 30 point total quota with your front nine quota being 15 and back nine quota being 15.) The more points over your quota that you achieve, the better.

 

  1. We will use handicap indexes from the day of play. The maximum handicap allowed is 24.

 

  1. Point Allocation
  • Double Bogey & Worse = 0 Points
  • Bogey = 1 Point
  • Par = 2 Points
  • Birdie = 4 Points
  • Eagle = 6 Points
  • Double Eagle = 8 Points

 

  1. You are allowed to choose the tee you would like to play each week however you must follow the tee guidelines set below
  • 69 and under = Black, Gold or Blue
  • 70 – 79 = Black, Gold, Blue or White
  • 80+ = Black, Gold, Blue, White or Red

 

  1. Tie breakers will be deciding using the hardest handicap hole and working backwards for the quota game.

 

  1. There will be no gimmies in this game so all putts must be holed.

 

  1. If you are a member playing within the Game block of tee times, 7:00am-9:00am, you must participate in the Game and pay the $30 entry. 

 

  1. Guests are not entitled to play in the Saturday Game. All times will be reserved for Members only.

 

  1. A Rain Out is considered a two-hour continuous Thor Guard weather delay and during regular group play will result in the following:
  1. If 100% of the Group has completed the same 9 holes the money will be paid on the results of that 9 holes, no refunds.
  2. Once 50% of the field has finished 18 holes the Group play for that day is considered official and will be paid out, no refunds.
  3. If the entire field does not complete 9 holes, all money is refunded.

 

  1. We are bringing back the Loops in 2023 with an updated version of this game within the game. There will be a front 9 loop (holes 7, 8 & 9), back 9 loop (holes 16, 17 & 18) and Super Loop consisting of all six holes. All Loops will be a gross game. The field for the loops will be broken into flights as follows;
    1. 6 handicap and under (must score -1 on the front, -2 on the back and -2 on the super loop to win)
    2. 7 – 12 handicap (must score E on the front, -1 on the back and -1 on the super loop to win)
    3. 13 – 18 handicap (must score E on either the front or back loop and +1 on the super loop to win)
    4. 19 – 24 handicap (must score +1 on either the front or back loop and +3 on the super loop to win)

 

  1. Entry Fee = $30 Per Person – You are automatically entered in each game. You can win on the gross and net skin side of each hole. Closest to the Pins will rotate each week so that both groups will have a shot at all the par 3’s throughout the year.

  • $1 Front 9 Loop
  • $1 Back 9 Loop
  • $1 Super Loop
  • $1 Closest to the Pin – 11.9 handicap index and under
  • $1 Closest to the Pin – 12.0 handicap index and above
  • $2.50 Gross Skins
  • $2.50 Net Skins
    • Net skins will be calculated at 100% of handicaps.

  • 10% of the field for the front 9
  • 10% of the field for the back 9
  • 15% of the field for overall
