USGA QUALIFYING EVENT

The person who claims the 2025 MGA Women's Amateur will earn a full exemption into the 2026 US Women's Amateur, set for The Honors Course (Ooltewah, TN), August 3-9, 2026. (NOTE: This exemption cannot be deferred to another year nor is it transferable to another person should the champion already be exempt or have qualified.)

FORMAT

  • 54-holes, individual, stroke play. All players will compete for the Championship in one flight. There will not be any other flights from shorter yardages or net competitions.
  • After Round Two (Tuesday), there will be a cut to the low 60 scores, plus ties. Those players will play 18-holes on Wednesday, for the final round of the tournament.
  • The Champion will be the player with the lowest 54-hole total. In the event of a tie, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play.
  • NEW THIS YEAR! We have added a Low Junior Award for this event. The Low Junior will be awarded to the player with the lowest 54-hole total who is 18 or younger. If there is a tie, it will be broken by a scorecard playoff, as recommended by USGA policy.
  • NEW THIS YEAR! We are also adding the "Collegiate Cup" as an award for this tournament. To determine the winner, we will take the best two 54-hole scores from players representing the same college/university and combine them to create a team score. The lowest team score will win the Collegiate Cup!
  • This is an Official WAGR Counting Event
