PAIRINGS

Round 1 pairings (Monday, June 30, 2025) can be viewed HERE.  Round 2 will be repaired according to score with the Boys leading off at 7:30 a.m.  All boys will be paired together based on score no matter their age.  Please note that a 10th tee start is being used at Denison GC on Monday and Tuesday.   

 

COURSE SETUP

At Heritage GC Boys will play the club's Gold tees and Girls will play the club's White tees.  

At Wedgewood Golf & CC Boys will play the club's Blue tees and Girls will play the club's Silver tees.  

 

PRACTICE ROUND AVAILABILITY
No practice rounds arranged by CDGA. 
 

PRACTICE FACILITIES/ARRIVAL
The range will open at 6:30 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday at Denison GC to contestants, 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Heritage GC and 7:00 a.m. on Thursday at Wedgewood Golf & FC.  Please report to the Tenth tee 10 minutes prior to your scheduled tee time.  

 

SPECTATORS
Spectators are permitted. NO SPECTATOR CARTS, NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

FOOD SERVICE
Following your round, players will be able to pick up their lunch in the clubhouse at Denison GC.  

Lunch for those making matching play on Wednesday will be ordering off the menu at Heritage GC.  For those that make it to the finals on Thursday, lunch will be on the patio at Wedgewood Golf & CC ordering off the menu.  

Additional Food & Beverage purchases will be available.  

 

FORMAT
36-hole stroke play qualifier with the Top 8 boys Overall making match play and the Top 4 boys 15 & under (not in the Top 8 of Overall) and Top 4 girls.  Match play begins on Wednesday, July 2nd at Heritage GC with the first tee time at 8:00 a.m. the Overall boys will be the first four matches on Wednesday and if victorious in the morning an afternoon match will be at 1:00 or 1:10 p.m.  The final matches of each division will be at Wedgewood Golf & CC on Thursday, July 3rd starting at 8:00 a.m.

 

REGISTRATION
None

 

PLAYOFF
A hole by hole playoff will be used to determine qualifiers if needed on Tuesday at Denison GC.  

  

SCORECARDS/SCORE CERTIFICATION
Printed scorecards will be used with the option to enter scores into the Golf Genius app.  The printed scorecard is official and must have a markers signature and players signature.  The scorecard is returned 15 minutes after the score is officially entered into the scoring system at the scoring area.   
      

DRIVERS/GOLF BALLS
The Local Rule for Conforming Driver Heads is in effect, see Model Local Rule G-1.  The Local Rule requiring that all golf balls used be on the List of Conforming Golf Balls is in effect.  See Model Local Rule G-3.  Please check the USGA website, www.usga.org, for a list of approved golf balls and drivers.  The “One Ball Rule” is in effect.  See Model Local Rule G-4.

 

GROOVES
The players clubs must conform to the groove and punch mark specifications in The Rules of Golf that are effective from January 1, 2010.  See Model Local Rule G-2.  “The exception for Ping Eye 2 Irons manufactured before 31 March 1990 is not in effect”

 

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES
The Rules of Golf allow DMD's if no other features are turned on. 

 

CARTS
Players must not ride on any form of transportation during a round unless authorized by the Committee.  Pull/Push carts are permitted.  

 

CADDIES
Players are not permitted to have a caddie.    

 

CODE OF CONDUCT
Columbus District Golf Association expects all players to respect one another, the game and the host facility and their members at all times.  

 

PERSONAL APPEARANCE
Contestants must be neat in appearance.  No denim.  No cargo pants or cargo shorts.  Shirts must have collars. 

 

CLUB POLICIES
Males--Please remove hats indoors. 

 

GREEN READING MATERIAL
Previous years yardage books that have green reading information may not meet the proper scaling.
