  • As noted above, Spanish Trail CC is a 54-hole facility (three 9-hole courses). The course rotation for the qualifier is Sunrise-Canyon.
  • Monday-Wednesdays of each week, the course shuts down 9-holes. This is TBD each day based on the course maintenance team's requirements. If you book a practice round on a Monday-Wednesday, there is NO guarantee that both the Sunrise and Canyon 9's will be available to play.
  • Thursday-Sunday of each week will have all three 9's open. However, the rotation to play Sunrise and Canyon in any order may only be available at certain times of the day. You must inquire with the pro shop when you book your practice round what times you can play that will allow you to play the correct rotation.

Caddie Golf Carts: For purposes if this qualifier, caddies will have the option to rent a golf cart from the host facility. The cart rental fee is $35 and must be paid in the pro shop the morning of qualifying before being allowed access to a cart.

NOTE: Please note that this is a policy for caddies only. Per USGA rules and regulations, players are still required to walk the golf course at all times.

Projected Tournament Yardage:  Please note that the yardages below are projected. They are subject to change for a variety of reasons including but not limited to weather, course conditions, committee discretion, etc.

  • NOTE: The qualifier will be played at a par of 71. Sunrise Hole #7, which plays as a par 5 for the membership, will be played as a par 4 for purposes of this qualifier.

Eligibility:

Entries are open to sides of amateur golfers with an individual up-to-date Handicap Index® based on ratings for men not exceeding 2.4 under the USGA Handicap System™. A Handicap Index must be issued from a “golf club” (as defined in the USGA Handicap System Manual) that is authorized to use the USGA Handicap System. Two players who play as partners comprise a side. Partners are not required to be from the same club, state, country, etc. For this Championship, any reference to gender applies to all genders.

Caddies:

Qualifying Rounds: A player may provide his own caddie. If he wishes to have the host club furnish a caddie, he should ask the Official in Charge because sufficient caddies may not be available at the host club.

A player who wishes to withdraw from Qualifying must notify the USGA (908-326-1950 or via e-mail at champs@usga.org) and the Official in Charge (Tim Brand tbrand@snga.org or 702-830-7972) prior to their scheduled qualifying round. Failure to do so may result in disqualification from future USGA competitions.

As a general rule, players and their caddies must walk the course at USGA Championships and at most qualifying rounds. But consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a disabled player or caddie may be permitted to use a golf cart as an accommodation to his or her disability for those events where golf carts are not allowed. As required by the ADA, the USGA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis.
