Local Rules & Information Sheet
Play is governed by the Rules of Golf and as modified by the MGA Tournament Players’ Information sheet, Rules of Play and Information, Notice to Competitors, Pace of Play Policy sheet, Entry Form and the following local rules. Disregard all local rules printed on the local scorecard. Unless otherwise noted, the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is: Match Play – Loss of Hole.
TEES: Women’s Match Play Championship will play from the BLUE MGA MARKERS (6,258 yards)
Players’ Championship will play from the GREEN MGA MARKERS (7,035 yards)
FORMAT – STROKE PLAY QUALIFYING: 18 Holes, stroke play, to determine the top 16 players in each championship who will advance to the Match Play round. Any tie for the final spot(s) will be played off on the course beginning on Hole#1 as soon as possible after the completion of play for the championship.
FORMAT – MATCH PLAY: 18 holes, match play. In the match is tied after 18 holes, the match will continue from the starting hole of the match until a winner has been determined. These extra holes are considered as part of the stipulated round.
OUT OF BOUNDS: Boundaries are defined by split rail fences. NOTE: A ball going out of bounds on one part of the course and coming to rest on another part of the course remains out of bounds.
PENALTY AREAS: Penalty areas are identified by stakes and defined by lines.
PROHIBITION TO PRACTICE PUTTING: In Match Play only, this prohibition has been waived.
GROUND UNDER REPAIR: Areas circled by white lines.
PACE OF PLAY: Players are expected to play within the Pace of Play policy posted on the Championship webpage.
DROPPING ZONES: Dropping zones have been provided as additional relief options for a ball in the penalty area on Holes #9 (short & over of the putting green), #11 and #15 (over the putting green)
AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION: Shuttle carts are available as follows:
- Adjacent to the 14th green for going up to and coming down from the 15th tee. Otherwise, all other automotive transportation is prohibited.
