20th Southeastern Challenge Match
History
The Southeastern Challenge Match is a biennial competition among male amateur golfers representing the Georgia State Golf Association, the Florida State Golf Association and the Alabama Golf Association. The 12-man teams consist of eight mid-amateurs and four seniors. The site rotates among the three states.
Teams
Each team from Florida, Georgia, and Alabama consists of:
- Two players 55 years of age and older
- Two players may be 50 years of age and older
- Seven players 25 years of age and older
- One player may be 21 years of age and older
Championship Format
Day 1
- Morning Four-Ball Matches
- Afternoon Foursome Three-Ball Matches
Day 2
- Morning Three-Ball Matches
Scoring
Each match is played as an 18 hole stipulated round.
- One point for a win
- One-half point for a match ending all square
- No points for a loss
