SIGN UP AND PAYMENT METHOD
OVERVIEW
Annual Club Membership Dues. The amount, as set by the Executive Board, is due to the club Treasurer on or before the date set for the first tournament of the season. Members are encouraged to pay by check made out to PRSMGC at either the previous year's Fall General Membership meeting or the current year's Spring General Membership meeting. Alternatively, returning members and new members may mail their dues to the Treasurer; his address is listed in the Executive Board section of this handbook.
Tournament Greens Fees/Cart Fees. Members will make payment for their rounds directly to the Pine Ridge pro shop. Members are encouraged to have their credit card put on file at Pine Ridge and those signing up will have their card numbers automatically charged just before the play date. Alternatively, a member may pay by credit card or in cash at the pro shop on the date of play, provided he has indicated in advance that he will pay in this manner. Pine Ridge has requested that the club submit a list of "same day" paying members.
The course has requested that members check in at the pro shop and with the starter on the day of play.
TOURNAMENT SIGN UP
Tournament sign-up will begin 7-10 days prior to each tournament date. Each member will receive an email from the tournament manager which will contain election boxes to accept or decline play in the upcoming event.
For those without email, an agreement should be reached with each such member to either automatically be signed up for the next tournament or require a phone confirmation to play.
On the Thursday before each tournament the sign up window of opportunity will close. On the Friday before each tournament, the Tee Sheet pairings will be prepared by the tournament manager and communicated to the pro shop. The pro shop will use this information to prepare the score cards and cart signs. The club house may use this Tee Sheet to process payment based on your credit card on file. The Tee Sheet will also be published on the club's Golf Genius portal and distributed by email to all members who have accepted the invitation to play.
CANCELLATION
If a player finds it necessary to cancel after originally signing up but before the tee sheet has been published, he should either change his playing status using the Golf Genius system or contact the tournament manager. If a player finds it necessary to cancel after the pairings have been created but prior to the day of play, he should notify the tournament manager immediately. If a member must cancel on the morning of play, he should notify the pro shop at (410) 252-1408, as well as the tournament manager. Contact information for all tournament managers is provided in the Executive Board section of this handbook.
LATE SIGN UP
Any unsigned player wishing to be included in a tournament after the sign-up deadline specified in the invitation to play, when the pairings for the tournament have been made and score cards printed, should contact the tournament manager to see if there are any openings available. At the discretion of the tournament manager, noon on the Saturday before play may be set as the final cutoff for late sign ups.
If the tournament for that date is a Team Event, it may not be possible to rearrange teams at the last minute. A BLIND will be used to compete the team game. The late-addition player, however, will be eligible for the closest-to-the-pin contests.
ADVERSE WEATHER
The membership will be notified by email via Golf Genius if any tournament is cancelled due to inclement weather or closure of the course. The tournament manager will also inform those scheduled to play if course conditions have been set by the Pine Ridge facility as "cart path only," but this status alone will not result in cancellation of the event. A member who opts not to play in this circumstance should call the pro shop at (410) 252-1408 before his scheduled tee time.
