Information and Local Rules
TEE MARKERS: USGA FORMAT: 18-holes, stroke play
QUALIFIERS: 3 ALTERNATES: 2
TIES & PLAYOFFS: In the event of a tie for the final qualifying spot and/or any alternate position, a hole-by-hole playoff will be conducted immediately following play.
EVACUATION PLAN: In the event play is suspended for a dangerous situation (lightning), players are to return to the Clubhouse. The signal for a suspension due to a dangerous situation is two (2) prolonged horn blasts.
Rules are governed by the Rules of Golf, USGA Terms of Competition, Notice to Competitors, Memo to Players
and the following local rules. Disregard all local rules printed on the local card.
ELECTRONIC SCORING: Per the information posted on the Qualifying webpage, the official method of scoring will be digital by use of the Golf Genius Mobile App. Players are expected to Certify as both the Marker and Player in the app. Players should report to the Scoring Area for verification of scores prior to certifying the scores through the app.
ELECTRONIC MEASURING DEVICES: Per the 2025 USGA Terms of Competition, distance measuring devices ARE permitted. However, information gained from their use must be limited to DISTANCE ONLY.
PACE OF PLAY/UNREASONABLE DELAY (RULE 5.6): Players are expected to play without delay, and groups are expected to remain in position with the group immediately in front of it. Timing sheets showing the time by when each hole must be completed are posted on the Qualifying webpage. Groups who fall out of position will be WARNED (First breach) and are subject to monitoring and timing by a Rules official. Players are expected to play a stroke within 40 seconds from when it is their time to play. Players who receive a bad time after being warned will receive One penalty stroke. Players who receive a second bad time will receive Two penalty strokes. The expected pace of play is 4:28 for 18 holes. Penalty for Breach of Rule 5.6a: First breach: Group Warning; Second breach: One penalty stroke; Third breach: Two penalty strokes; Fourth breach: DISQUALIFICATION.
GROUND UNDER REPAIR: Areas circled with white lines. In addition, all Cultivated Flower Beds, the Nursery Green on Holes #6E & 9E and the newly seeded areas with netting on Holes #2W and 5W are NO PLAY ZONES.
IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS: The Maintenance Area (adjacent to #6 & 9 East) and the Clubhouse are Immovable Obstructions.
GATES IN BOUNDARY FENCES AND WALLS (MLR F-26): All closed gates that are attached to boundary walls and fences are part of the boundary object. Relief is not allowed from such a gate under Rules 15.2 or 16.1. But an open gate is not treated as part of the boundary object and may be closed or moved to a different position.
OUT OF BOUNDS: Boundaries are defined by WHITE STAKES, CHAIN LINK FENCES as well as the INSIDE EDGE OF CONCRETE CURBING bordering Hole #9E.
DROPPING ZONES: Dropping Zones have been provided as additional relief options on the following holes for the reasons noted. If player elects to use a Dropping Zone, they MUST use the nearest DZ even if nearer the hole.
- Hole #4E (left of fairway) – for interference from the pavement or piles of sand (Rule 16.1)
- Holes #6E & 9E – (2) for free relief from the Maintenance Area (Immovable Obstruction)
- Hole #2W - (2) for penalty relief from the RED penalty area (Rule 17.1d) OR free relief from the newly seeded area with netting (NO PLAY ZONE) (Rule 16.1) behind the putting green.
- Hole #5W – for free relief from the Ground Under Repair right of the putting green (NO PLAY ZONE) (Rule 16.1)
- Hole #7W – for penalty relief from the RED penalty area (Rule 17.1d)
- Hole #9W (2) – for free relief from the Clubhouse area (Immovable Obstruction)
OTHER INFORMATION:
- Model Local Rule (MLR) I-5: Immovable Obstructions Close to Putting Green is NOT in effect.
