Local Rules and Information Sheet
TEE MARKERS: USGA FORMAT: 18-holes, stroke play
QUALIFIERS: 4 ALTERNATES: 2
TIES & PLAYOFFS: In the event of a tie for the final qualifying spot and/or any alternate position, a hole-by-hole playoff will be conducted immediately following play.
EVACUATION PLAN: In the event play is suspended for a dangerous situation (lightning), players are to return to the Clubhouse. The signal for a suspension due to a dangerous situation is two (2) prolonged horn blasts.
Rules are governed by the Rules of Golf, USGA Terms of Competition, Notice to Competitors,
Memo to Players and the following local rules. Disregard all local rules printed on the local card.
DRINKING WATER & REST AREAS:
Drinking Water: May be found at or near the teeing areas of Holes #1, 4, 7, 8, 10, 13 & 16.
Rest Areas: May be found on the Left side of Hole #5 fairway & Teeing Area of Hole #13.
DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES: Per the USGA Terms of Competition, distance measuring devices ARE permitted. However, information gained from their use must be limited to DISTANCE ONLY.
PACE OF PLAY/UNREASONABLE DELAY (RULE 5.6): Players are expected to play without delay, and groups are expected to remain in position with the group immediately in front of it. Timing sheets showing the time by when each hole must be completed are posted on the Qualifying webpage. Groups who fall out of position will be WARNED (First breach) and are subject to monitoring and timing by a Rules official. Players are expected to play a stroke within 40 seconds from when it is their time to play. Players who receive a bad time after being warned will receive One penalty stroke. Players who receive a second bad time will receive Two penalty strokes. The expected pace of play is 4:39 for 18 holes. Penalty for Breach of Rule 5.6a: First breach: Group Warning; Second breach: One penalty stroke; Third breach: Two penalty strokes; Fourth breach: DISQUALIFICATION.

OUT OF BOUNDS: White stakes, property fences and the edge of pavement of public roads bordering Holes #4-9 define the margins. In addition, the 16th fairway and anything to the player’s left is out of bounds when playing Hole #10, and the 14th fairway and anything to the player’s left is out of bounds when playing Hole #12. Any ball going out of bounds and coming to rest on another part of the course is still out of bounds.
PENALTY AREAS: Penalty Areas are marked by lines and/or stakes. The stakes identify and the lines define the edge.
WASTE AREA: The area of sand between Holes #10 & 16 is a “waste area” and part of the GENERAL AREA.
OBSTRUCTIONS:
- Wood edging in bunkers are IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS from which free relief is available for stance, lie of ball and area of intended swing. Free relief MUST be in the bunker; otherwise, player may take back-on-the-line relief behind the bunker for one penalty stroke.
SCORING AREA: The Scoring Area is in the Lehman Room in the Clubhouse.
