THIS REGISTRATION IS FOR ALL PLAYERS WHO HAVE TO QUALIFY FOR THE VERMONT AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
SELECT THE DIVISION "QUALIFIER" YOU WISH TO ENTER.
 

EXEMPT PLAYERS MAY REGISTER INTO THE VERMONT AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP DIRECTLY (see list below)

Eligibility:

1. Vermont Resident – Any male amateur golfer, as of the day of the tournament, who is a legal resident of Vermont and is a member in good standing, of a member club of the Vermont Golf Association, with an active GHIN handicap issued by that club.

OR

1. Non-Vermont Resident  – Any male amateur golfer, as of the first day of the tournament, who is not a legal resident of the State of Vermont, but has been a member in good standing of any Vermont Golf Association member club for the past three years, has an active GHIN handicap issued by a Vermont Golf Association member club and has posted a minimum of 10 rounds of golf in the last 12 months outside of the major championships at any VGA member club.  (Revised April 2015)*

*This eligibility requirement affects the major tournaments only, which are the Vermont Amateur, Mid-Amateur and the Senior Amateur Championships. If you are playing in the major championships, your options are to post scores you may have missed from last year or play enough rounds this year to fulfill the requirements by the first day of the tournament. This also includes any players in the Vermont Amateur who are exempt from qualifying.

Format: Individual 18 hole stroke play qualifier (4 total qualfiers).

Entry Fee: $90.00. Successful qualifiers will be charged the addtional entry fee of $90.00 upon advancing to the Vermont Amateur Championship.

PLEASE NOTE:  Players may register for only 1 qualifier.

Registration:  On-line registration opens March 15, 2025. 

  
Cart Policy: Carts are not mandatory.

Entry Deadline: Entries must be received by the deadline (June 8th at 11:59pm).  Late entries will NOT be accepted as the number of qualifiers advancing from each qualifying site is dependent on the total number of entries received at the entry deadline.

Practice Rounds: Please contact the course at which you'll be competing at for practice round availability. 

Tee Times/Pairings: Tee times will be posted on the event portal as soon as practicable after the close of entries. They will also be emailed out to all participants.

Dress Code: Appropriate golf attire - collared shirts - no denim.  If in doubt, please call the pro shop.

Cancellations: Cancellations can be made on line prior to the close of entries and will be refunded in full less a 3% credit card processing fee. After the close of entries and prior to the start of the tournament, entry fees will be refunded less a $25.00 pp cancellation fee but you must contact the VGA office to cancel. No refunds will be given after the start of the tournament.

Conditions/Schedules: The VGA reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein. The decision of the VGA in any matter shall be final.
