CYPRIAN KEYES GOLF CLUB | BOYLSTON, MA | JULY 29 - 30, 2025

 

ELIGIBILITY

  • Any amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf Membership at a public golf course.
    • (a course/club that provides playing opportunities for the general public seven days a week) 
  • Handicap Index® not exceeding 8.0 (at the time of registration). [NEW IN 2025]
  • Have played and posted 5 rounds at any Mass Golf member club/course within 12 months of the entry close date.
  • Players who have playing privileges at any private club are ineligible, with the exception of:
    • a) Players competing on a school golf team, provided those privileges are limited to scheduled practices and competitions; or
    • b) Players employed by a private club, provided their playing privileges
      • I. Are limited in nature,
      • II. Are consistent with those offered to other employees,
      • III. Do not allow participation in any club tournaments,
      • IV. Players employed by a private club must obtain an active Mass Golf Membership at a public golf course.

 

ENTRIES: FEE, CLOSING DATE, REFUNDS

All players – including those who are exempt, must submit and complete payment of an online registration through the Mass Golf event registrations system by 5:00pm EDT on the published entry deadline. CLICK HERE to view all applicable withdrawal and refund polices.

Entry Fee: $115

Entries Close: Wednesday, May 21, 2025

SCHEDULE

Competition will be in two stages:

  1. Qualifying – 18 holes stroke play for all except exempt players
  2. Championship – (+/-) 120 players, including exempt players. 36 holes stroke play.
    • Tuesday, July 29 – Round 1, 18 holes
      • 60 lowest scores & ties continue play on July 30
    • Wednesday, July 30 – Round 2, 18 holes
      • Any tie for first place will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole play-off.

 

TROPHIES & PRIZES

The winner will receive the Ray C. Bump, Jr. trophy. Players finishing in the top twelve places & ties will receive merchandise certificates that are only redeemable at the host site.

CADDIES/GOLF CARTS

Qualifying – The use of golf carts is permitted at the player’s expense and based on any host club policies. Players may also use caddies and push/pull carts (including electric) at the host club’s discretion.

Championship Proper - The use of golf carts is permitted, and fees are included in the championship entry fee. Players may also use caddies and push/pull carts (including electric) at the host club’s discretion.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

A Mass Golf sponsored lunch will be available for all championship competitors on July 29. Additional food & beverage details and availability for the championship proper and qualifying rounds will be outlined on the player information sheet(s).

 

LOCAL RULES; TERMS OF THE COMPETITION; SCHEDULES

The Mass Golf Board of Directors/on-site Rules Committee reserves the right to alter any of the Local Rules, Terms of the Competition, provisions and/or schedules. The decision of the Board of Directors/on-site Rules Committee in any matter will be final.

STARTING TIMES & PLAYER INFORMATION

Qualifying information, including tee times, pairings and player information will be emailed to all competitors and posted to the Amateur Public Links Championship website shortly after entries close. Championship information will be shared shortly after the final scheduled qualifying round.

Upon receipt of a completed online registration by the published entry deadline, the players in the following categories are exempt from qualifying); 2025 Amateur Public Links Championship Exemptions.

TRANSFERING

Based on availability, players may request a qualifying location transfer by contacting championships@massgolf.org.

QUALIFYING PLACES & TIES

The number of qualifying places per site will be determined after entries close and will be published on the specific player information sheet for each qualifying site. The number of qualifying spots is subject to change based on any withdrawals prior to the competition and/or alterations in the schedule.

PRACTICE ROUNDS

Practice round opportunities/access may be available at the discretions of the host club(s). Details regarding practice rounds will be shared with competitors during the registration process and/or at the close of entries. Competitors are asked to refrain from contacting host club(s) regarding practice rounds until they receive official details from Mass Golf.
