Massachusetts Open Qualifying - Charter Oak Country Club

Practice Rounds: Players may arrange a practice round by contacting the golf shop and identifying themselves as a competitor in the field. Practice rounds will be offered based on club availability within the timeframes listed below.

Notes:
- There will be a mandatory cart/trail fee of $40.00 (cash/credit).
- Players may bring another person to play on a weekday and will be charged an unaccompanied guest fee.
- Players may make a tee time 48 hours in advance
- Competitors will be limited to one practice round and may be paired up with other competitors.
- Please limit your practice round to one ball on each hole and be aware of your pace of play with surrounding groups.

Competition Tees/ Yardage: The competition will be played from the BLACK tee yardage (Approx. 6,800 yards; par 71).

- All yardage books (and greens guides) purchased through StrackaLine are compliant with the Rules of Golf and are permitted for use in Mass Golf championships.
Starting Times: Play will begin at 8:00am off the 1st tee. Pairings & Starting Times will be available after the close of entries and can be accessed by clicking the "Starting Times & Parings" tab above. There will be no registration on the day of the event, please report to your scheduled starting tee to receive local rules, hole locations, scorecard, etc. at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 12 players and ties will advance to the Championship Proper at Sacconnesset GC on June 10 - 12. Alternates will be assigned per the Mass Golf alternate policy. There will be no playoffs for qualifying or alternate spots. The number of qualifying spots is subject to change based on any withdrawals prior to the competition.
Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation is permitted during the qualifying round at the player's expense - $40 (cash or credit). Automotive transportation will NOT be permitted for the Championship proper. Please Note: Per the Mass Golf Policies & Procedures, no more than two carts will be permitted per starting time.
Caddies: Caddies and push carts are permitted. Caddies may ride in a golf cart if space permits, but no more than two carts will be permitted per starting time.
Club Facilities: Food & beverage will be available at the player's expense at the pub. (CASH ONLY)
Practice Range: Open and available starting at 6:30 AM. (RANGE IS RESTRICTED TO 300 YARDS)
Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the Mass Golf Hard Card. It is the individual's player's responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition.

Score Posting: All scores from individual stroke play events (qualifiers & championships) will be automatically posted to a player's Mass Golf/USGA Handicap Index by the Mass Golf Staff.
