Slow Play
We have recently experienced unnecessary 4:45-5:00 rounds in the Men’s Club tournaments. Accordingly, the Men’s 18 Hole Golf Club Board has requested:
• The Rangers monitor “Slow Play” in Men’s Club events.
• If a foursome is behind on Time or Position, they will be asked to catch up to the group in front of their group.
• A third visit by the Ranger and the group will be told to “pick up your ball and move to the next hole” and the group will be DQ from the tournament.
This policy has the support of the Director of Golf Jeff Hochman and the Men’s 18 Hole Golf Club Board. We will also be implementing the time-stamping of score cards at the end of each round. Since we all play in Club events for the fellowship and for fun, your cooperation is appreciated.
