75th Massachusetts Women's Mid-Amateur Championship for the Keyes Cup

Monday, August 25th - Tuesday, August 26th

Format: Competition will be 36 Holes at Stroke Play in two separate divisions - Championship & Tournament division. Championship Division will consist of a Gross only competition, and the Tournament Division will consist of a Gross and Net competition. 

 

Playing Handicap will be calculated based on the August 21, 2025 Handicap Revision. Handicap Index® used to determine a competitors Playing Handicap will not exceed 18.0.

 

Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the Mass Golf Hard Card. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the Championship sites. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition.

Golf Carts & Push Carts: The use of automotive transportation (golf carts) is permitted. Carts are Included in the Championship entry fee. The use of push/pull carts is also permitted.

 

Caddies: Competitors may use a caddie during all rounds of the championship.

 

Time of Starting:    

 Round 1 - Monday, August 25th - 8:30am start off the 1st tee

 Round 2 - Tuesday, August 26th - 8:30am start off the 1st tee

  • Competitors will be repaired based on Rd. 1 scores.

 

Practice Rounds

Dates/Times:

  • Call the Golf Shop at 617-484-2400 x1 in order to schedule a practice round. Please identify yourself as a competitor in the field. There will be a mandatory trail fee/cart fee of $29.75 (Cash or Credit Card)

    • Monday, August 4th – 3:42pm – 3:54pm

    • Tuesday August 12th 3:30pm – 3:54pm

    • Thursday, August 14th 3:54pm – 4:06pm

    • Tuesday, August 19th 11:18am – 11:30am & 3:18pm – 3:30pm

 

Notes:

  • Each competitor will be limited to 1 practice round.
  • Competitors will be paired up to make foursomes on the day of their practice round.
  • Practice rounds will be available for competitors to play (no guests or caddies).
  • Players shall play only one golf ball during the practice round. 

 

Course Set-Up: Approximate yardage for each division: 

  • Championship Division - Approx. 5,500-5,600 yds (Blue/Green Tee Combo)
  • Tournament Division - Approx. 5,200 yds (Green Tees) 

 

Practice Range: Will be open and available before Round 1 & 2 at 7:30am.  150 yards MAX.

Food & Beverage: 

  • Monday, August 25th
    • Sponsored by Mass Golf. The Turn Shack will be open for snacks and drinks for purchase (Credit Card).
  • Tuesday, August 26th
    • Lunch is available at the player's expense starting at 11:00am.

 

Score Posting: All scores from individual stroke play events (qualifiers & championships proper) will be automatically posted to a player’s Mass Golf/USGA Handicap Index by the Mass Golf staff.

 

Prizes: The Grace Keyes Cup will be engraved with the names of the champions. Trophies will be given to the champion of each division (gross). Merchandise certificates will be awarded (gross & net) and are only redeemable at Oakley Golf Shop.
