2025 Women's Amateur & Senior Amateur Championships
Alpine CC - July 14-18, 2025
 

Eligibility:  Amateur golfers who have an active RIGA/GHIN handicap and are RIGA Members or are a Rhode Island resident.
 
 

Tournament Format:
July 14-18, 2025 - Alpine CC
Qualifying Round: 18 holes - Stroke play to determine match play qualifiers. 

Gross Scores used for seeding for the Championship and Senior Divisions. Net Score will be used for Net Championship

In the event of a tie for the 16th place, there will be a sudden death playoff immediately following the completion of the Qualifying Round.

 

*You will be asked if you want to participate in the: Championship Gross Division, Senior Amateur Gross Division or Net Championship Division during the registration process.
 

You must be 50 or older to compete in the Senior Amateur Championship - no strokes in Senior Championship

 

Net Championship - the maximum strokes a player can receive during match play is 1 (one) stroke per hole

 

All 3 tournaments will have 18 holes of qualifying and then go to match play for the remainder of the week. 

 

Championship will play the BLUE RIGA tees. Senior and Net will play the WHITE RIGA tees.

Monday, July 14 - 18 holes Stroke Play - Tee Times begin at 10am - no food available day 1

Tuesday, July 15 - Match Play - Round of 16 - Tee Times begin at 8am - Lunch is included on Day TWO
Wednesday, July 16 - August 3- Match Play - Quarterfinals - Tee times begin at 7:30am

Thursday, July 17 - Match Play - Semifinals - Tee Times begin at 8am

Friday, July 18 - Match Play - Finals - Tee Times begin at 8am

 

Qualifying round scores will be posted as a "T" score by the RIGA.

Handicaps used will be July 11, 2025 for Net Division.
 
Entries - Form, Fee, Closing Date:  Entrants are solely responsible for securing and returning completed entry form by the due date. Entries must be received at the RIGA office by July 7, 2025 and be accompanied by the entry fee of $130.00

Practice Rounds:  will be $50 - with or without a cart.  Availability is at the discretion of the Club.

Tuesday- Friday as space permits & Saturday and Sunday after 2pm

Cart and Caddie policy: Carts are permissible during play.  An entrant is responsible to pay for their own cart fee throughout the tournament. A player may take a caddie or carry their own bag at any stage of the competition.  Carts are $30 per day - Card Only

 

Dress Code: Proper dress is required at all times. Spikeless shoes are mandatory.
 

Conditions/Schedules: The RIGA reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein. The decision of the RIGA in any matter shall be final.

 

Women's USGA Exemption: RI does not qualify this year due to our past 3-year average power ranking. We will let players know if our exemption changes for the 2026 season, as we were close. 

 

Important: Entries must be received by July 7, 2025. Completed entry form must be accompanied by entry fee of $130.00 (Made payable to RIGA). If you withdraw from an event before the registration closes there will be a $5 transaction fee. If you withdraw from an event after the registration closes, there will be no refunds given. You may find a substitution and work out payment between each other. No Faxed Entries
