122nd WPGA Open Championship Qualifying Round
Montour Heights Country Club, Coraopolis, PA
Wednesday, April 30th, 2025


This notice serves as confirmation for 122nd WPGA Open Qualifying on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025, at Montour Heights Country Club. Qualifying is 18 holes with a field of 60 players. The number of spots the field will be playing for (TBD) spots and two (2) alternates. Additional information will be distributed on the first tee.

Format:  18-holes of stroke play. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf and any Local Rules and Conditions distributed prior to play. In the event of a tie for the final qualifying spot or any alternate, a hole-by-hole playoff will take place immediately following the conclusion of play, on holes to be determined by the Committee.

Practice: Practice rounds can be scheduled by calling the Montour Heights Golf Shop at 412-262-4653. Practice rounds are at the discretion of the Club. Practice rounds are available on Wednesday, April 23rd, Thursday, April 24th, and Sunday, April 27th. Times are subject to availability. Practice round fees are $ 40.00 which includes a cart. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player. If you would like to bring a playing partner(1) that is not in the event, the cost will be $125. 

Tee Markers: All play is from the WPGA WHITE tee markers (Approximately 6,700 Yards). Yardages will be contingent on course conditions.

Transportation/Caddies:  Automotive transportation is permitted for the qualifier and is included in the entry fee. Two carts will be permitted for threesomes and one cart per twosome. Players may bring their own caddies. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties. Push Carts are permitted for the Qualifier.

Lodging: Lodging of various price ranges can be found in the Coraopolis or Sewickley, PA area. 

Food: The WPGA provides water on course. Lunch will be provided after the round and is included in your entry fee. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

Footwear: METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.

Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be four hours and twenty minutes (4:20). The Pace of Play Policy can be found HERE.

Spectator Info: No spectator carts will be permitted for the competition without pre-approved ADA verification. Please contact the WPGA office for ADA guidelines. ADA carts are based on availability. Directions to the club can be found on the Montour Heights Country Club website.
