2025 Family Scramble

Entry Fee: $120 (Golfers 18+) $60 (Golfers under 18)

Entries Open: 04/10/2025 at 10:00 am

Entries Close: 06/18/2025 at 5:00 pm

 

Eligibility: 

  • Four person teams
  • Family members – this includes immediate family members such as spouses, legal domestic partner, siblings, and children, as well as extended family members like grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, stepchildren, stepparents, guardians and the like.
  • Teams must consist of 1 adult (18+) Age as of event date
  • Amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf Membership with a Handicap Index® not exceeding 54.0 (as determined by the Handicap Revision on the date of entry)
  • Players will be limited to a 36 Playing Handicap™

 

Entry Procedures: 

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Field: 

Entries will be on a first come, first served basis. After the field is full a waitlist will automatically start.

 

Format: 

  • 18 holes of Florida Scramble format (also known as Step Aside)
  • Maximum Score of 10 per hole is in effect
  • Each player plays from the teeing area on each hole, one of the tee shots is selected and all the players EXCEPT the player whose shot is selected, play their second shots from that spot. One of the second shots is then selected, and all players EXCEPT the player whose shot is selected, play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed.
  • Gross and Net Divisions

 

Handicaps: 

25% lower handicap/20%/15%/10% higher handicap for team handicap

 

Caddies & Automotive Transportation: 

Cart fee is included in entry fee. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.

 

Food & Beverage: 

Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary lunch for all competitors.

 

Starting Time: 

Shotgun start at 12:00 pm

 

Awards: 

The Family Scramble has a permanent trophy to be photographed with the gross winners.  All ties will be decided by a matching of cards in accordance with USGA® recommended method.  Prize Certificates (gross & net places) will be given out and must be redeemed at Twin Hills Country Club.

 

Rules of Golf: 

The USGA Rules of Golf, Local Rules and Terms of Competitions for Mass Golf Tournaments govern all play.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy: 

Competitors, who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf staff contact for the event (listed on each event page) or the Mass Golf office in writing (e-mail is acceptable and encouraged) or by phone. 

  • At least seven days prior to the event
    • entry fee minus a $20 administrative fee will be refunded
  • Less than seven days and at least 48 hours prior to the event
    • 50% of entry fee will be refunded
  • Within 48 hours of the event
    • no refunds will be processed
