FORMAT: 18 holes, Single and Four-Ball Match play.  Singles matches are worth one (1) point each, and Four-Ball matches are worth two (2) points each.  Any match ending TIED will be considered halved and the points are split.  The first team to win 20½ points will claim the Matches.  If the matches should end in a tie, the TEAM MINNESOTA PGA will retain the Cup.

All play is governed by the Rules of Golf, the RULES OF PLAY, MGA Rules Card and the following local rules.  NOTE:  Disregard all local rules printed on the local scorecard.

HONOR/ORDER OF PLAY: The Four-Ball match takes precedence when determining the honor and order of play until the four-ball match concludes.

ADVICE: Players may continue to give advice to their teammate even if the Four-Ball match has concluded.

PRACTICE PUTTING: The prohibition of practice putting on the putting green of the hole last played has been waived for this competition.

OUT OF BOUNDS: Boundaries are defined and/or identified by white stakes, lines, property fences, the inside edge of the pavement of the road bordering holes #3 and 12 and the black construction fence left on Hole #3.  When both stakes and lines are used, the lines define and stakes identify the boundary.

PENALTY AREAS: When stakes and lines are used to mark a water or lateral water hazard, the stakes identify the hazard while the lines define the margin.

GROUND UNDER REPAIR: In addition to areas circled by white lines, the following areas are considered ground under repair:

1. All cultivated flower and shrubbery beds – NO PLAY ZONES

DROPPING ZONES: As an additional option, a dropping zone has been added on Hole #11 for a ball in the Red Penalty Area that last crossed the edge of the penalty area on the green side of the penalty area.

MULCH OR PINE STRAW AREAS: Mulched areas without flowers should be treated as loose impediments (NO free relief) but the individual pieces of mulch are loose impediments.

RULES COMMITTEE: Doug Hoffmann (C) and Tone Pulido.
