106th Maine Amateur Championship | Player Information Sheet
Host Course: Waterville Country Club, 39 Country Club Rd., Oakland, ME
Golf Shop: The golf shop will open at 6:00 a.m. each day of the competition.
Practice Facilities: The practice range will open at 6:15 a.m. each day of the competition. The practice range will only be available to players to warm up before the round.
Food and Beverage: The clubhouse restaurant will be open to players and guests each day starting at 11:00 a.m. Food and beverage is at the responsibility of the players.
Practice Rounds: Players in the field will be able to play practice rounds at Waterville CC with the following restrictions:
- Monday - Thursday at any time
- No practice rounds on Fridays
- Saturday and Sunday after 12 p.m.
- Players in the field play for $50
- Players not in the field play for $120
- No caddies are allowed in practice rounds
- Tee times may be made up to 7 days in advance by calling the pro shop to reserve a time
Parking: Due to limited parking, players and caddies are encouraged to carpool.
Caddies and Push Carts: Players are permitted to use a caddie and/or use a push cart.
Dress Code: Players and their caddies are required to wear appropriate golf attire. Hats must be worn facing forward and shirts must be tucked in.
Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation is permitted. Carts will be available and can be rented in the golf shop at the players’ expense. No more than two carts are permitted in any group. If carts are limited at the host site, players may be required to share carts. No two single carts can go out in any pairing, even if both players have a caddie. Seats are not guaranteed for caddies and players should assume that caddies will need to walk.
Music During Rounds: For this competition, Model Local Rule G-8 will be in place. “Rule 4.3a(4) is modified in this way: During a round, a player must not listen to or watch content of any nature on a personal audio or video device.”
On-Site Registration: For the first round, please check in at the Maine Golf registration table by the golf shop to receive your complimentary tee gift for this year's championships. After that, players are expected to be at their assigned starting tee in advance of their tee time in order to receive handouts and information from the starter.
Withdrawals: Please advise Maine Golf immediately by emailing mike@mainegolf.org if you are unable to compete. Failure to advise Maine Golf of a withdrawal may disqualify the player from future competitions.
